When I was younger, I named my pet fish and hamsters my favourite names, which now I am so angry at myself, because they are so amazing and I love them. Would it be weird to still use the names for a baby? Thanks 
Not if it’s just fish and hamsters. I did the same. If it was a family dog or cat that would be different.
If it was your current pet that would be around your child, I would say dont but if in this situation I think its fine.
I think it’s fine if the pet is no longer in the family
I agree if it was a pet like a mouse, fish or hamster that you had when you were young. If it was a dog, cat, or a pet currently living, I wouldn’t.
I don’t see why it would matter. If I discovered my mum had a hamster with the same name as me when she was seven, it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.
