After getting such good help the last time I posted, I thought I would see if anyone could help this time.
This is the male main character of a book I’m plotting, who might be dual POV with the female main character, but I’m not yet sure. He’s a vampire, significantly old, though it’s set in a not-quite-Earth world. He’s just been woken from a long sleep and is re-adjusting to the world. He has short brown hair, very tall (over six feet), wide shoulders, muscular; I’m not certain what he did, but he may have grown up a farmer who learned how to fight. He’s more stubborn than a mule, overprotective, somewhat misanthropic and apathetic, and currently driven by vengeance against the vampire who turned him. He’s surprisingly sensitive beneath his hard shell and cannot forgive himself for his failures long ago.
I’m leaning towards a Greek or [name_m]Roman[/name_m] name.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite name for him so far has been [name_m]Titus[/name_m], but I already have a character named that in a different story. I don’t like having multiple characters with the same name, even if they are in separate series.
Other names I’ve considered but don’t feel right: [name_m]Remus[/name_m], [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]
Names I’m not certain are the one but am considering if anyone wants to second them: [name_m]Cadmus[/name_m], [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_m]Timoleon[/name_m]
[name_m]Timaeus[/name_m]
[name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m]
[name_f]Vero[/name_f]
[name_m]Viggo[/name_m]
Achaemenes listed on Behind The Name
Ooh, I do really like [name_m]Severus[/name_m] for him, though the HP connection makes me hesitate, since that character was pretty despicable. And since you put [name_m]Cadmus[/name_m], too, I’m starting to lean a little more towards it…
