Hey Berries! I’m writing a story on Fanfiction.net and I need help naming a character. It’s a [name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and the Olympian fic. She’s a daughter of [name_m]Poseidon[/name_m] and [name_f]Sally[/name_f]. Black hair, tan skin, sea green eyes. I like [name_f]Melody[/name_f], but I can’t use it (name of [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] the Mermaid’s daughter). I also like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], but I’m not sure. So… any names? Should I use [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]? Thanks!
Rules:
- Must be a Greek name.
- Must have a good association (with mythical history— Sally named her son Perseus because he was one of the few heroes to get a happy ending. Also would like a good meaning, but doesn’t have to have one.)
- Must not be a goddess’s name (or at least a well known goddess) (if Hera (let’s say that was the daughter of Poseidon’s name) met Hera it would be a little weird to write)
Oh yeah hardertobreathe and meganashley, forgot to say that was why I was worried about using Zoe. She (Spoiler!!!) dies so that’s why I was considering it. But yeah…
I wouldn’t use the name [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], because there is already a PJO character named [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] ([name_f]Zoe[/name_f] Nightshade, in the [name_m]Titan[/name_m]'s Curse).

I think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] was already a character in PJ&O. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] Nightshade, if I recall, was [name_u]Artemis[/name_u]'s former lieutenant. Hm. It seems [name_f]Sally[/name_f] is a fan of naming her kid after a Greek hero, so what about the name [name_u]Hero[/name_u] (she was a girl in mythology)? Or [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] “[name_u]Andy[/name_u]” (might be weird if this is [name_u]Percy[/name_u]'s sister, since she was the wife of [name_m]Perseus[/name_m], unless this is an AU in which [name_u]Percy[/name_u] was not born, in which case, I implore you: use it), [name_f]Helen[/name_f], [name_f]Iphigenia[/name_f] “[name_f]Gen[/name_f]”, [name_f]Ismene[/name_f] “Is/[name_u]Izzy[/name_u]”, or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] “[name_u]Penny[/name_u]/[name_f]Nel[/name_f]/[name_f]Nellie[/name_f].”
