In a futuristic book where there are wars between humans/werewolves/vampires/and another race I have not come up with a name for. I will give you a little input on each character, but I really need to narrow my list down to just one name :frowning: ALL suggestions are welcomed!

Main Character: This character is female. She’s very strong and something else besides just vampire. She can eat human food and blood. It’s her choice. She has to go through a lot of challenges that are a lot of torture and soul aching experiences. I need a very strong name for her. Last name is [name]Slate[/name].

What I like for her: [name]Calypso[/name], Photini, Panagia, [name]Callisto[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Matisse[/name], [name]Lilith[/name], [name]Vivia[/name]/[name]Victoria[/name] & Couture

Main Character’s Twin [name]Sister[/name]: Yay! Sibset options. I prefer to not have their names matchy-matchy since they are two completely people who act and do completely different things. It’s good and evil between these two except the twin isn’t really evil. [name]Just[/name] makes bad choices and has a bad mouth. I want her name to reflect this. What I mean is I want her name to have a gloomy feel to it like [name]Antigone[/name] or [name]Evadne[/name]. I might contradict myself here, but I do want the sisters’ names to look good together if possible.

What I like for the twin: [name]Bristol[/name], Merit, [name]Amethyst[/name], [name]Antigone[/name], [name]Evadne[/name], [name]Hester[/name] & [name]Sandrine[/name].

*Note: The twin girls are both half vampire and the other half is unknown. The mother won’t speak of it and the twins never seen their father.

Older Brother: This guy has an interesting story. He is the oldest of the children and has a different father than the twins. The brother’s father died in civil war which was between vampires and werewolves. The brother was born half human/half vampire. (his father was vampire/his mother human) The brother was always bullied in school for being a half breed so a lot of emotional damage he had to go through. In his early 20’s, he was at a bar and got into a fight. He was bitten and was changed into a full vampire after a long process of being in a hospital to help him survive. Again, I want a strong name for him.

What I like for the brother: [name]Mordecai[/name], Oleksander, Larkspur, [name]Peridot[/name], Vox, Tage, [name]Legend[/name], & [name]Roman[/name].

A [name]Man[/name] From The Other [name]Race[/name]: This man is from the ‘superman’ race and has a huge part to play in the book concerning the main character. He has the power to control fire (having powers in this race is very rare) and comes from a long line of very wealthy people. His heritage is packed! [name]Black[/name] hair, nice body. [name]James[/name] [name]Dean[/name] type of guy. I really want kind of a sexy yet powerful name for him since that’s exactly who he is.

What I like for him: [name]Vesper[/name] and [name]Alex[/name]. I REALLY like both of these names, but suggestions are definitely accepted here too just in case you have another fantastic choice for him.

I’m sorry for writing a book here on nameberry! Lol! I was just needing help to narrow down these names so maybe I can start writing sometime soon. I written down the main points and all that. I just need to add in the names now. Any help is appreciated!

Main Character: [name]Calypso[/name]. It is easy to pronounce, has rich history and is not to overused in other books.

Twin [name]Sister[/name]: [name]Sandrine[/name]. I think it fits well with [name]Calypso[/name], but has a different feel to it as well. My second choice would be [name]Antigone[/name], because the similar origins, but [name]Antigone[/name] can be hard to pronounce if you don’t already know it. That depends on your audience’s age group too.

Brother: I like [name]Legend[/name]. It is different from the sisters, and also mysterious. You could also say that when he was bullied, he never lived up to his name, and now that he is older he does.

[name]Man[/name]: I would pick [name]Alex[/name]. [name]Vesper[/name] is traditionally a girl’s name, so i think giving him a more masculine name would work better towards his sex appeal.

Main Character’s Twin [name]Sister[/name]: I would suggest [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Slate[/name] for [name]Victoria[/name]'s sister. Or taking from your list, [name]Alexandra[/name]/[name]Alexandrine[/name] nn [name]Sandrine[/name].

Older Brother: [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Slate[/name] nn [name]Xander[/name] (if [name]Alexandra[/name]/[name]Sandrine[/name] aren’t chosen for the twin sister). From your options I like [name]Roman[/name] but [name]Roman[/name] [name]Slate[/name] sounds like a description rather than a person.

A [name]Man[/name] From The Other [name]Race[/name]: I would suggest using [name]Dean[/name] or [name]Dane[/name] if he’s a [name]James[/name] [name]Dean[/name] type character.Also, depending on the surname, [name]August[/name], [name]Heath[/name] or [name]Sterling[/name] may work.

@mbrow222: I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Calypso[/name] and [name]Sandrine[/name] together. I’ll definitely have to consider that. [name]Legend[/name] would fit his past and his life. I can see that. As far as [name]Vesper[/name], I honestly didn’t know it was a female’s name. [name]How[/name] odd. I just loved the sound of it and now I like it even more for a possible female character. @mischa: I’m not sure on [name]Daphne[/name] or [name]Alexandra[/name], but for the main character; [name]Victoria[/name] sounds awesome. [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Slate[/name] sounds even better! I agree 100% on [name]Roman[/name] [name]Slate[/name]. Not a good match up. [name]Roman[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name] doesn’t sound too good to me either. Since [name]Vesper[/name] is out of the picture for the man’s name: [name]Dean[/name] and [name]Heath[/name] are looking mighty good. For the twins I think that [name]Victoria[/name] and Evande make a good set and match your descriptions well. For their brother I would definitely go with [name]Legend[/name]. As for the other man, I think [name]Alex[/name]/[name]Alexander[/name] would fit well.

Darn it. [name]Do[/name] you seriously have to have such awesome names to choose from? [name]How[/name] am I supposed to pick one? I love [name]Peridot[/name] as a stone, but as a name, not so much. Too many people would think it was pronounced [name]Peri[/name]-dot, not [name]Peri[/name]-do. (as in peri-dough). I like both [name]Legend[/name] and [name]Mordecai[/name]…and Larkspur…but my top pick out of my faves is [name]Mordecai[/name]; it’s m,ore of a vampire name

I like both names, [name]Vesper[/name] is more what you’re looking for, though.

I’d avoid [name]Arwen[/name] and Vato. [name]Arwen[/name] sounds like that Elf queen from [name]Lord[/name] of the Rings, and Vato sounds a little like [name]Cato[/name] from the hunger games.

I like [name]Alexandra[/name] [name]Slate[/name] best for your main character. Or possibly [name]Saskia[/name], if you like alliteration, that is. It’s strong and easy to pronounce, but I don’t think its overdone in literature either. From your list, my favorite is definitely [name]Callisto[/name]. I love [name]Calypso[/name] too (I guess that’s obvious), but I think [name]Callisto[/name] just embodies the strength of your character better.
For her sister, I would pick either [name]Amethyst[/name] or [name]Evadne[/name] from your list - especially if you went with [name]Callisto[/name] for the protagonist - but as a sister to [name]Alexandra[/name], my choice would be [name]Christiana[/name] or [name]Theodora[/name] EDIT - Actually, no. Make that Raffaela. In case of [name]Saskia[/name], [name]Chiara[/name] (it means ‘light’, and I love the irony there for the girl who makes the wrong choices. Sae reason I gave my antagonist a name that means ‘dove’) would be my best bet.
Brother - [name]Mordecai[/name]. Definitely [name]Mordecai[/name]. I also think a strong, short name would suit him well. Maybe something like [name]Grant[/name]?
A [name]Man[/name] From The Other [name]Race[/name] - I actually really like [name]Caine[/name] for this guy. I saw another posting suggesting it for the brother, and at first I thought that was great but it’s even better for this guy. From your list, [name]Alex[/name]. Or better still, [name]Alexei[/name] (another name that would be great on the bro…god, this is HARD.)

Main Character: [name]Victoria[/name] ([name]Victoria[/name] means victory which is VERY fitting to say the least)
Twin [name]Sister[/name]: [name]Matilda[/name] ([name]Matilda[/name] meaning battle-mighty as she is powerful like [name]Victoria[/name]; just in her own little world at times.)
Brother: [name]Legend[/name]. (This fits him so much. He’ll live up to his name (: )
Mother: [name]Elodie[/name]
Cambion (the man): [name]Dean[/name]
Cambion’s sister: Photini
Werewolf Father: Thoth
Vampire Father: Oleksander (This name means: Defender of mankind. [name]Love[/name] it)
The Original Vampire: [name]Khalid[/name] (In ancient [name]Egypt[/name]; this name means immortal.)

I think Oleksander is a really awesome name that I never would’ve thought of.
