So my last thread was all over the place but I think we are finally starting to come together and form an actual list! For those of you who don’t know already, I am expecting my fifth child, a boy soon.
Some combos we like (thanks if you suggested one of these!):
[name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Hollis[/name]
[name]Rigby[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name]
Truett [name]Maxfield[/name]
[name]Rigby[/name] [name]Dayton[/name]
Truett [name]Dayton[/name]
[name]Daley[/name] Truett
Names we like but don’t if they sound good with our other children’s names:
[name]Dayton[/name]
[name]Adler[/name]
[name]Warren[/name]
[name]Truman[/name]
[name]Hollis[/name] (as FN/MN)
[name]Quinn[/name] (as a MN)
[name]Brooks[/name] (as a MN)
Any help would be appreciated in narrowing this mess down to a name! Thanks!
[name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Hollis[/name]- just as uniquenamelover said, i prefer this switched- [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name]. And I think it fits better with your other children’s names this way as well!
[name]Rigby[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name]- Cute!
Truett [name]Maxfield[/name]- I like [name]Rigby[/name] better with [name]Maxfield[/name]
[name]Rigby[/name] [name]Dayton[/name]- I can’t move past the store [name]Dayton[/name]'s when I see this name, so it isn’t my top choice
Truett [name]Dayton[/name]- Same here, but I do like [name]Rigby[/name] better than Truett.
[name]Daley[/name] Truett- not my favorite
[name]Dayton[/name]- Again, not sure I like this. Especially in the first name spot.
[name]Adler[/name]- I think this goes great with your other children’s names! This is my favorite.
[name]Warren[/name]- I think you’re right, great name but not necessarily with your other kid’s names.
[name]Hollis[/name] (as FN/MN)- Awesome! I love this name and it is very cute with the other kiddos!
[name]Quinn[/name] (as a MN)- Always love this in the MN spot!
[name]Brooks[/name] (as a MN)- Also amazing as a MN!
[name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Hollis[/name]-- I completely disagree with the pps who think [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name] sounds better. I think [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Hollis[/name] sounds perfectly fine, and I really like the idea of [name]Sawyer[/name] in the fn spot. When switched to [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name], the end “s” and the beginning “s” blend into each other. It doesn’t sound right.
[name]Rigby[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name] – I like this!
Truett [name]Maxfield[/name] – This is nice too, but I think [name]Rigby[/name] is the nicer choice.
[name]Rigby[/name] [name]Dayton[/name] – Not a fan of [name]Dayton[/name]. I would definitely go with [name]Maxfield[/name]. [name]Dayton[/name] reminds me of Daytona which reminds me of nakedness and Nascar.
Truett [name]Dayton[/name]-- See above
[name]Daley[/name] Truett – This sounds weird to me. Like a vitamin or something. “Wait, I forgot to take my [name]Daley[/name] Truett”
As for your other names, I really like [name]Warren[/name]. I think it would fit nicely with your sibset. What was the reason you thought it wouldn’t? Maybe [name]Warren[/name] Truett. I like Truett when paired with [name]Warren[/name]. I also like how both have double letters, but that might just be me…
Something I noticed is that all your combos are 2-2, whereas your other children have varied syllables. This wouldn’t necessarily bother me, just not sure if it’s something you care about.
My favorite of your choices is [name]Rigby[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name]. I really like this one.
[name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Hollis[/name] and [name]Rigby[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name] are the only combos I like on your list. Sorry but the rest of the choices sound like [name]Indy[/name] 500 race car drivers. [name]Evander[/name] and [name]Julius[/name] are old names so they pair well together. [name]Ashton[/name] has a more contemporary sound so I think [name]Sawyer[/name] or [name]Rigby[/name] would be a great additions to your family. [name]Sawyer[/name] is my favourite.
I know I did suggest [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Hollis[/name] and [name]Rigby[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name] but I still just love them, and I think they fit perfectly with your other children’s names.
Truett is great though and fits well. I think Truett [name]Maxfield[/name] is my favorite of the Truett combo’s.
Of the other names I think [name]Brooks[/name] fits the best. [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name] is pretty cool, or maybe [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Adler[/name] or [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Truman[/name]?
I prefer [name]Sawyer[/name] [name]Hollis[/name] from that list. I also like it reversed as others suggested but think it works just fine the way you have it, too (and I prefer [name]Sawyer[/name] to [name]Hollis[/name] for a FN).
Thanks everyone! We have both agreed on [name]Rigby[/name] [name]Maxfield[/name]. He will fit right in with our family. Thank you so much for your help. Couldn’t have named him without you!
The more I say that name, the more I love it. “[name]Rig[/name]” makes for a great nickname as well, especially for an adult. Your family has such awesome names! Congratulations.
