[name_f]Elara[/name_f] and [name_f]Iona[/name_f] are wonderful!

Thank you! I believe we would do ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]’ as a nickname for [name_f]Elara[/name_f], and ‘[name_f]Io[/name_f]’ as a nickname for [name_f]Iona[/name_f].

[name_f]Elara[/name_f], [name_f]Iona[/name_f], and [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] are gorgeous!

That’s great you were able to come up with a short list together! My favorite name on your list is [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] but I don’t like how it sounds with [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f], so paired with that middle name I like [name_f]Elara[/name_f], [name_f]Iona[/name_f], and Elliotte. I’m assuming it’s pronounced like [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]-- I’ve just never seen it spelled that way, although it looks like more of a feminine spelling. Regardless of spelling, that one got my vote!

I love love love [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]!

  1. [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] - Not a bad name inherently, but it feels a little dated, I know a ton of Kelseys born around 2000.
  2. [name_f]Elara[/name_f] - One of my favorites on the list. On trend, easy to pronounce and spell, not incredibly common.
  3. [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] - This is the name I voted for! She’s been creeping on the edges on my list of favorites for a long time, she has a very clean, crisp sound, and incorporates multiple trends so she sounds very familiar even though it isn’t a name that’s heard a lot.
  4. Elliotte - I’m not really a fan of [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and its similar spellings; if you’re going to use it I would drop the E because people will be more likely to spell it wrong.
  5. [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] - If you don’t really like it maybe it should be off the list. Objectively a nice name though.
  6. [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] - I like it, and potential nickname [name_f]Dolly[/name_f] is cute.
  7. [name_f]Calico[/name_f] - Not a fan, makes me think of fabric and cats.
  8. [name_f]Iona[/name_f] (E-oh-na) - It’s pretty, not really my style. There might be some confusion about spelling and pronunciation but its a short enough name without other variants that are super popular so people will probably pick up on it quickly.

[name_f]Aviva[/name_f] got my vote. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it! [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f].

Elliotte gets my vote I love the way it sounds with [name_f]Katheryn[/name_f]. I do think it would be more hassle than it is worth to spell it this way, but either way I think its a wonderful name.

[name_f]Aviva[/name_f] got my vote - she’s both sweet and peppy. I also like [name_f]Iona[/name_f] & [name_f]Elara[/name_f].

Second this, [name_f]Elara[/name_f] is my fave though

[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] is beautiful. Has sophisticated airs but also leads to the less formal nn of [name_f]Darla[/name_f], [name_f]Dolly[/name_f] or [name_f]Darly[/name_f]!

My favorite is [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] but it doesn’t work with [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] and you don’t love it so… Next votes would be [name_f]Calico[/name_f] and [name_f]Iona[/name_f]! I actually think [name_f]Calico[/name_f] is so cool.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]-I don’t personally care for this. It’s a little 90s, & a little cheerleaderish.

  2. [name_f]Elara[/name_f]-Hm. I adore [name_f]Elora[/name_f], but I don’t like this nearly as much. Not sure why. I think that the pronunciation is less clear. It is cool & unique though.

  3. [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]-[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! My favorite from your list. Such a beautiful & unique Hebrew name.

  4. Elliotte-Meh, I love [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] for a boy, so this doesn’t work for me.

  5. [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]-Very pretty, but I prefer [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]. Seems less fussy.

  6. [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]-[name_f]Lovely[/name_f]! I love how it’s a flower name, but it’s not overly cutesy. It’s strong & ultra feminine at the same time. It’s not too common either, yet well known enough.

  7. [name_f]Calico[/name_f]-Well, I quite like the cats, but not so much for a name.

  8. [name_f]Iona[/name_f] (E-oh-na)-Ooh, that’s fun & different. I also like [name_f]Ione[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

[name_f]Iona[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] is beautiful!

Yes, that’s how it would be pronounced! There’s a little girl at the office I work at with the name, and I can’t help but be drawn to it.

:joy: My husband admitted he likes calico because he loves cats! I didn’t realize [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] was a popular generation z name, but I don’t know many people born after 95! I went back and looked at each names popularity, and as we prefer a name to be a little more unique, [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] is no longer is consideration. Thank you for your input!

It’s so funny you mentioned [name_f]Elora[/name_f]! I hadn’t realized my husband was actually pronouncing “[name_f]Elara[/name_f]” more like “[name_f]Elora[/name_f]”! E-[name_f]Lore[/name_f]-ah instead of E-[name_f]Laura[/name_f]

Thank you all so much for your feedback! We agreed with the vast majority- [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] and [name_f]Ilona[/name_f] are top contenders! My husband still loves [name_f]Calico[/name_f] as a guilty pleasure, though!

I seriously love [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f].

[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] is a personal favorite of mine bc I love the nicknames [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Dolly[/name_f], but it doesn’t flow well with middle name [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]. [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] would work though if you have or want flexibility.

I also like [name_f]Elara[/name_f] and [name_f]Iona[/name_f]. You seem to like names that aren’t too mainstream and generic (which I love!) so I’d be careful with [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] (close to popular [name_f]Ava[/name_f]) and nickname [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] (super popular nickname).
