Nat or Talie - NN for Natalie?

We have finally decided on [name]Natalie[/name] [name]Ann[/name] for our girl’s name. It will probably be inevitable that she’ll be called [name]Nat[/name] every once in a while (which is fine, but I would like to call her [name]Natalie[/name] most often) but I was wondering if [name]Talie[/name] (sp?) is a cute nn also? If you have other suggestions, please let me know!

[name]Hi[/name]! I know of two Natalies who go by [name]Tally[/name], and they’re adorable! [name]Tally[/name] was also [name]Michelle[/name] [name]Pfeiffer[/name]'s character’s name in the movie Up Close and Personal.

Because I have good associations with the nickname [name]Tally[/name]/[name]Talie[/name], to me, it’s a really sweet nickname.

(I love that you’ll be calling her [name]Natalie[/name] most of the time, though.)

Good luck!

I think that [name]Talie[/name]/[name]Tallie[/name]/[name]Tally[/name] would be a cute nickname for [name]Natalie[/name] (much cuter than [name]Nat[/name], in my opinion). It is a lot like [name]Callie[/name] or [name]Allie[/name] which are very cute and popular. But like you said, nothing wrong with calling her [name]Natalie[/name] all the time either.

[name]Talie[/name] is great as a nickname for [name]Natalie[/name]!

I like [name]Nat[/name], which I think is very cute, not to mention, it’s a nickname that can age gracefully with her.

I agree, [name]Talie[/name] is cute. You could also do [name]Talia[/name]! The ending “a” could come from her mn, [name]Ann[/name].

Would that be pronounced “[name]Tal[/name]-ya” or “[name]Tal[/name]-ee-a”? I like the pronunciation “[name]Tal[/name]-ya” but was just wondering.

[name]Hi[/name]! I would pronounce it “[name]Tal[/name]-ya”.

I love [name]Natalie[/name] and it keeps going on and off the list becuase I dont like [name]Nat[/name]. But I love the nn [name]Tally[/name], I think that is adorable. I also like the nn Li pronouced lile [name]Leigh[/name]. I know a [name]Natalie[/name] called Li

[name]Talie[/name] is super cute.

Would that be pronounced “[name]Tal[/name]-ya” or “[name]Tal[/name]-ee-a”?

Ambiguous. Any -ia name will be ee-a to some people and ya to others.
