I prefer [name]Natalie[/name] based solely on personal experience. I would also argue that [name]Natalie[/name] can sound exotic too, if pronounced as the French do (I teach French immersion students).
[name]Natalia[/name] could be seen as more exotic and intenational because it is both Italian and Russian ([name]Natalya[/name]). I like [name]Natalia[/name] better, but both are pretty.
Thanks for the replies so far!! The vote is split 50/50, much like my own mind haha!!!
[name]Both[/name] are great names but I have to go with [name]Natalie[/name].
I voted for [name]Natalia[/name] but actually prefer the [name]Natalya[/name] spelling. Definitely more exotic (to me anyway), if that’s what you’re going for. Though I admit if I met someone named [name]Natalia[/name] or [name]Natalya[/name] I would automatically wonder if they’re Russian, which may or may not be a problem for you.
[name]Natalia[/name], it’s more exotic and mature sounding.
[name]Natalie[/name], as much as I do like it, is much more juvenile, and commonplace.
I pick [name]Natalia[/name] over [name]Natalie[/name].
As well as Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, and Hungarian. It’s an extremely international name indeed!
I voted for [name]Natalia[/name]! I think it’s really pretty
I like Natalie more but that is because I have a niece with this name. Natalia (Natalya) reminds me of seductive Russian spies and that isn’t bad. Natalia is more exotic and pretty.
The vote is still so split! Everytime I look the leader has changed and now there’s only one vote seperating the two! I am glad I am not the only one that pictures the names differently as I described! The last name would be a Ukranian names, the Ukranian version of this being Natalka according to behind the name! [name]Natalia[/name] sounds better with it in that sense, but [name]Natalie[/name] is so great too haha, keep the thoughts and votes coming!
I love [name]Natalia[/name]. [name]LOVE[/name] it. However, someone once pointed out the genatalia association and I haven’t considered it usable since. I think I might opt for [name]Natalya[/name], even though I MUCH prefer the look of [name]Natalia[/name]. Or just switch to [name]Natalie[/name].
[name]Natalia[/name].
[name]Natalie[/name] seems so dated.
This is why I prefer [name]Natalia[/name], it’s a gorgeous name that travels very well…I know Italian, Polish, Russian, and Bulgarian Natalias.
I love [name_f]Natalia[/name_f]. It sounds pretty, elegant and sophisticated. It’s on the top of my list of baby girl names. [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] is also pretty but my personal choice goes for [name_f]Natalia[/name_f].
