Hey everyone,
I’m finally out of the TTC stage! And very excited to be expecting. I’ve had a few other posts in the past on here, but never came to a final decision about my girl’s name. We have the boy’s name picked out. Here are the names I have picked out in order of preference, and next to each I listed the problems I have with the name. Please share any names you think are similar to my taste. Looking for familiar, but not popular/ trendy.
1.) [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]- I love this name, but has it become too popular? If the Vivians and Viviennes were combined on the SS list, I feel like it would be much higher up.
2.) [name_f]Lola[/name_f]- I feel like this name blends in with all the Lilys and [name_f]Lilas[/name_f]
3.) [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]- Could be the perfect name, but DH said he needs to think about this one. I want him to love our chosen name as much as I do.
4.) [name_f]Avalon[/name_f]- I love the meaning, but don’t like the “[name_f]Ava[/name_f]” part that has been so popular lately. I get that it would be pronounced differently, but still…
5.) [name_f]Clara[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] it, but is it really that different from the overly popular [name_f]Claire[/name_f]? And although it doesn’t seem so popular on the SS chart, I feel like I’m hearing it a lot because I live in FL and the majority of my friends are Spanish and this seems to be a popular name in the Latin community. So although it’s not a case of popularity overall, I think it would be for a little [name_f]Clara[/name_f] growing up in FL.
6.) [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]- DH said this name was weird, so I’m just including it to give an idea of my style.
I don’t really like names that end in “ette” but it does seem like my style leans [name_m]French[/name_m]. Can anyone out there find me the perfect name?
