[name_m]Hi[/name_m], so I’ve got a draft of a story that I’ve been working on for over a year, but I still don’t have a middle name for the youngest girl in the main family. Her first name is [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], she has blonde hair, she’s three years old when the story starts, and she has verbal hypnotism powers (she can control people with her voice). I’ve written this far without a middle name, but most of her siblings go by nicknames that are a combination of their first and middle names ([name_f]Azalea[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is [name_u]Aza[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], for example). All of the siblings have multiple nicknames, but so far the only nickname I have for [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is [name_u]Lorrie[/name_u], which I don’t know if I like (I don’t think [name_u]Rory[/name_u] fits her, though, so I’m looking for a first middle combo nickname).
Siblings are [name_m]Landon[/name_m] [name_u]Eliot[/name_u], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], Kaeli [name_u]Ember[/name_u], [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], and [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
They each have one family name and one name that matches their powers. [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is the name of a mythological siren, so that works with her powers. I don’t really want a nature name like [name_f]Rose[/name_f], because the characters with earth powers have those. Maybe I’m way too focused on something as insignificant as a middle name, but it’s really been bugging me. Any comment on how the names work as a sibset would be appreciated as well. Thanks!
