I’m hopefully going to be adopting a baby girl soon and her birth mom has requested that her middle name be [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. I’m happy to honor this request but it is making choosing a first name tricky as most of my previous favorites end in “a” sounds! So, help me find something I love!
I like longer, Classic names. [name_m]French[/name_m], Cajun, or Southern preferred. Having a cute nickname option is a must! Last name is one syllable similar to [name_m]Holt[/name_m]. I’ll list some of my favorites but feel free to add more!
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elouise[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nola[/name_f] or [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] is so sweet and musical! And with the nickname [name_f]Millie[/name_f]… <3. I really like Magnolia Bella and Matilda Bella, too, but my vote definitely goes to Amelia.

You don’t think having both end in “a” sounds too rhyming? I have always loved [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]…”
No, not at all! [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Bella[/name_f] don’t share enough sounds to sound rhymey to my ear, and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] being three syllables helps too.
[name_f]Bella[/name_f] is a hard one to work with! But lovely!
I like the suggestion [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. Nn’s can be [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emme[/name_f], and even [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] - [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] (my fav), [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_u]Nelly[/name_u]
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] - [name_f]Milly[/name_f]
Avonlea [name_f]Bella[/name_f] - Avvy, [name_f]Vonnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] - [name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] - [name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] - [name_f]Addie[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_u]Adley[/name_u]
I think it’s okay to have a first name that ends with a! I love your list
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Elouise[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] in particular. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nicknames [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] too. Congratulations by the way!
Another vote for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. I love it!
