Need Help!! Can't pick a name!!

We are having the worst time trying to name our little one. We are not finding out the sex, so we need two names picked! AHH! I always thought naming the baby would be fun and easy…so wrong!

For a boy…
[name]Jackson[/name] [name]Howard[/name] - named after my late grandfathers, [name]Jack[/name] & [name]Howard[/name]. I think it kind of sounds like a law firm or a car dealership, however, I can get passed that, because they were two very important and special men in my life. Any opinions??

For a girl…
[name]Ava[/name], [name]Braelyn[/name], [name]Cambria[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Olivia[/name]???
I’m not really in love with any of them, but we want to use either [name]Susan[/name] or [name]Sheldon[/name] for the middle name. [name]Susan[/name] after my grandmother and [name]Sheldon[/name] after my father. Help!!

For a boy…
[name]Jackson[/name] [name]Howard[/name] - this is really cute! Does remind me a bit of [name]Howard[/name] [name]Johnson[/name] though. Maybe you could name him [name]John[/name] [name]Howard[/name] and call him [name]Jack[/name]. But I think [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Howard[/name] is fine, very handsome.

For a girl…
[name]Ava[/name] - this is way too popular - #2 right now, I think. Or at least in the top four. Instead you might love [name]Evelyn[/name] or [name]Avalon[/name].
[name]Braelyn[/name] - I really don’t like names like this. Very similar to the [name]Hailey[/name]/[name]Bailey[/name]/[name]Kayla[/name], etc. meganame. Instead maybe you would like [name]Briony[/name].
[name]Cambria[/name] - this is pretty. I really love [name]Camden[/name] and [name]Cameron[/name]/[name]Camryn[/name], too. I know, I usually don’t love names like [name]Camryn[/name]! Weird!
[name]Chloe[/name] - this is pretty popular, but not as popular as [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Ava[/name]. Gorgeous name.
[name]Olivia[/name] - too popular and starting to get dated now. But it is a gorgeous name! Alternative: [name]Olive[/name].

[name]Chloe[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Cameron[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name]
[name]Briony[/name] [name]Susan[/name]
[name]Camden[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name]
[name]Iona[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name]
[name]Helena[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name]
[name]London[/name] [name]Susannah[/name] - I don’t really like this, but I thought I’d put it out there just in case you like it.
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]

Maybe you would love:
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name] - [name]Susan[/name] means “lily” in Hebrew, so you could honor both of your relatives with this name. [name]Lillian[/name] is pretty popular. So are nns [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Lillie[/name]. But they’re not in the top ten. [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name] is so stately and lovely!
[name]Eden[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Marin[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Susan[/name]

I’m not really in love with any of them, but we want to use either [name]Susan[/name] or [name]Sheldon[/name] for the middle name. [name]Susan[/name] after my grandmother and [name]Sheldon[/name] after my father.

Of all these name combos, my faves are: [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Iona[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name], and [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Sheldon[/name]. My opinion on popular names like [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Lillian[/name] is to go ahead and use them if you love them. My name [name]Susan[/name] was super popular in its heyday, but I love it so much. I would definitely consider naming my baby girl [name]Lillian[/name] since that was my grandmother’s name. But I have to say that [name]Iona[/name] is amazing! And not so popular.

Hopefully Nameberry can bring some fun to your name quest!

[name]Jackson[/name] [name]Howard[/name]: [name]How[/name] sweet to honor your loved ones. [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Howard[/name] does have a law firm feel, and [name]Jackson[/name]'s really trendy, too. What about [name]John[/name] [name]Howard[/name], with the nickname [name]Jack[/name]? I also like [name]Jack[/name] [name]Howard[/name], but prefer [name]Jack[/name] as a nickname.

[name]Ava[/name]: I think [name]Ava[/name] is pretty, but it’s become very trendy and overused (it’s ranked #4).

[name]Braelyn[/name]: In all honesty, I’m not a fan of trendy or invented names. Another minus, is that “bray” is a sound a donkey makes.

[name]Cambria[/name]: While it’s not my style, I think his place name is pretty, and I like [name]Cambrie[/name] as a nickname.

[name]Chloe[/name]: I think [name]Chloe[/name] is beautiful, and I’m not alone, as it’s very popular (#16). Of your choices, this gets my vote.

[name]Olivia[/name]: I think [name]Olivia[/name] is pretty, but it’s way too popular (#7).

What about updating [name]Susan[/name] with [name]Susannah[/name]?

Ideas (not all work with [name]Susan[/name], in case you’re not set on that middle name):
[name]Ada[/name] [name]Susan[/name]/[name]Ada[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]/[name]Susan[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Susan[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Susan[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Susanne[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Susanne[/name]

[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Susanne[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Susan[/name]
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Susan[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Marielle[/name] [name]Susanne[/name]
[name]Nora[/name] [name]Susan[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Susan[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] (I think this is a great name!)
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Willa[/name] [name]Susanne[/name]

Good luck!

Thank you so much!! I knew I couldn’t go wrong posting my dilemma on here! I like [name]John[/name] [name]Howard[/name], but it is an actual car dealership in the town we live in. lol.

I agree with both of you with the girls names… way to trendy.
