So we have basically decided on [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] for our baby boy twin. I love that it is masculine and not completely overused.
Now we are really stuck on a girl name. I am looking for something classic mixed with newish. Feminine.
From your short list I like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] best although I’d suggest [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] or [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] for something more classic.
I’m on the same wavelength as @bedhead, I think [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] is the best choice, [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is feminine enough to be a twin sister to [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. I do recommend you reconsider [name_u]Madison[/name_u] if you want classic, [name_u]Madison[/name_u] is definitely not considered classic. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is wonderful!
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] [name_u]Madison[/name_u], or [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_u]Piper[/name_u] ([name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] are very cute together) hope this helps
I immediately thought of [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] to go with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], but I am not sure that is your style now that I see [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_u]Madison[/name_u], and [name_u]Avery[/name_u]…
If you like [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_u]Madison[/name_u], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]: (you may like)
Hmmm…I’m not a huge fan of any of the combos you listed, but I like [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] the best. Here are a few names that I think would go well with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]:
I think if you’re looking for not-overused, you should get rid of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] (at least as a first name); it is lovely, but it’s in the Top 10 in the US with no sign of dropping out any time soon.
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] is a unisex name, and it really depends on what area you live in whether or not it seems to be used more on boy or girl children - personally, I know of two boys and no girls, and I would probably assume [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] were a boy-boy set of twins.
[name_u]Madison[/name_u] feels really close to [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] - so while it makes sense you would like it, consider if you want their names to be so similar. It’s also not very feminine. I would skip this as well, or save it for the middle spot - it would fulfill your wish for something “newish” and could possibly make for a sweet connection for the twins.
The first name I thought of as soon as I read the title was [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. I think it meets your criteria - feminine, classic, simple. [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u].
The next thing I thought of was [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]. Similar to [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]. Comes with a lot of sweet nicknames, classic but also fresh. [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m].
I like [name_u]Avery[/name_u] but I would avoid [name_u]Madison[/name_u] as a first as it rhymes with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], I’m a mom to twins myself and you don;t want he names to be too matchy. Having said that I like the above suggestion of [name_u]Harper[/name_u]. Would you use [name_f]Elise[/name_f] as a first? Feminine, classic, not overused and you obviously like it?!
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] and [name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] sound amazing together. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I’m not a fan of [name_u]Madison[/name_u], it’s still super cool!
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] would also be pretty.
What about [name_u]Emery[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]? or [name_f]Annmarie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]?
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], nice choice! From your list I prefer [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. ike pp, I also find [name_u]Avery[/name_u] unisex and not feminine as you’re looking for. like the suggestion of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. Some more suggestions…
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_f]Justine[/name_f]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_f]Anja[/name_f]/[name_f]Anya[/name_f]
I like all three of the names on your list. My favorite is [name_u]Madison[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], followed by [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. [name_u]Madison[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] both sound great with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]!
I would use something classic and vintage to go with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]! [name_u]Madison[/name_u] to me has been a bit over used in the last 8 or so years. Also the sibset is very presidential. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is very popular but beautiful and classic! Out of your list I would definitely choose [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. Have you thought of [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] as a first. Very pretty and same nickname potential as [name_u]Madison[/name_u]. Also other suggestions for you:
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Gracie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
Sorry for repeats! There are so many to list but my brain isn’t working right now!
Yall are amazing! So many incredible suggestions that I had never even considered!
I love vivienne [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Husband is not a fan
We are also considering emmeline [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or emmeline [name_f]Kate[/name_f] now.
I loved the suggestions of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] and piper but we have close friends who have taken those names already. I’m going to go look through suggestions again. I am so thankful for all the help!
Since you like [name_u]Avery[/name_u] how about [name_u]Everly[/name_u]? It’s a tiny bit daring but I like it a little more than [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is very pretty. I also didn’t notice if anyone suggested [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]. [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is very cute and [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] & [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] make a great sibset.
