Not currently expecting, but over the next few years we’re hoping to add to our family, and I like having a bit of a short-list sitting there… but we’ve had to cross one of our boy options off and find ourselves down to only one ‘maybe’ name we agree on, [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]. And we both hate the nickname [name_u]Jerry[/name_u]. Hubby hates [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as well. I’m hoping for mn R@lph.
Daughter’s name is R0byn, and if have another girl would probably go with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]. We both liked [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] but now very close family have had one so it’s really not usable. I like [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], but names ending in l don’t go with our surname. I absolutely adore [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], and have since I was a kid, but hubby hates it: he thinks it sounds pretentious and what upper class stuck-up parents would choose. He likes [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], I think it sounds a bit… flat.
We both kind of like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], but go on and off [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], and think in reality [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]'s just a bit too out-there and nerdy for us. Is there something we’re missing that might work? Any suggestions appreciated!
I love [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]! It’s very cute w/[name_f]Robyn[/name_f] too, so you’re set there.
Here are a few boy ideas that you may like:
[name_m]Adrian[/name_m]
[name_u]Alden[/name_u]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Bastian[/name_m]-is this less pretentious? I agree that [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is sort of stuck up sounding, but I too love it. I also think that [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] is super cool. Especially w/the nn Bash.
I love [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] too! So beautiful. As an alternative, you could use [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] or [name_m]Nate[/name_m] to eliminate the ending? If I had a [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], I would call him nn [name_m]Nate[/name_m] all the time anyway, so it wouldn’t make much difference to me.
Or, if the ending is really what makes the name for you, you could add a middle name? Then again, the middle name isn’t used all that much… at the end of the day, if [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] is the name for you, I’m sure that with the help of this many berries, you could find a way to use it! I was about to suggest a hyphenated last name, but then I realised you already had a daughter - R0byn is beautiful, by the way! The best solution is probably [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] nn [name_m]Nate[/name_m], which I still love - I just love [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] a little more!
