After going back and forth between a lot of different names my husband and I have narrowed our list down to 3 girl names: [name_f]Elaina[/name_f], [name_f]Aria[/name_f], & [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaina[/name_f] has become our front runner by far, we love it and it honors my Grandmother, [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]. We are a little worried about the increasing popularity of [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. We are also worried that [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] will get lost in a sea of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]'s and people will see it as the same name as [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
We have been trying to think of middle names to pair with out top 3 names but we are having a very hard time. Our last name is 3 syllables so we would like a middle that is 1 or 2 syllables. I would love to use a nature name or flower name for the middle but haven’t really found anything that my husband and I both like. I also think something short, sweet & classic like [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would work well in the middle.
Here is the short list of middles we have come up with:
- [name_f]Roslyn[/name_f]
- [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
- [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] (breaks the 1-2 syllable rule but it would honor my husbands grandmother)
- [name_f]Nora[/name_f] ( too many “A’s”)?

I like [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] but my husband does not. We both like how [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u] sounds a lot but we aren’t fond of the meaning. I really like [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], I’m going to add them to our list!
I also like [name_u]Rae[/name_u] but my husband has already vetoed that one.
