Need name ideas for #2!

Hey Name Berries! Oh, how glad I am to have found thee. My name is [name]Mimi[/name] and my husband [name]Cody[/name] and I are expecting our second little one in late February. We have a nearly three year old daughter named [name]Calliope[/name] [name]Lev[/name]. Our last name starts with G and ends in “berg”… let’s just say it’s Goldberg for the sake of ease. Before I had [name]Calliope[/name] I had zero knowledge of name trends/styles/etc. Same with my hubby. I remember when we were first engaged we briefly discussed what we might name our kids and I think our favorites back then (this was nearly six years ago) were [name]Logan[/name] and [name]Harmony[/name]. Nothing wrong with those (though I do still like [name]Harmony[/name]) but when it came to naming a real live child we knew we needed something really special. I hate to admit it but we did first hear [name]Calliope[/name] on “[name]Grey[/name]'s Anatomy” (though we never call our [name]Calliope[/name] “[name]Callie[/name]”, just [name]Calliope[/name] or [name]Cal[/name]). The name really struck a chord in me and after researching the name I fell in love. [name]Calliope[/name] means “beautiful voiced” ([name]Lev[/name] means “heart” in Hebrew) and my mother was a singer, plus [name]Calliope[/name] is the muse of poetry and I write poetry so it just clicked.

However, we are TOTALLY stuck for number two. Nothing feels right. We just want a name that’s distinctive, fun and sounds good with [name]Calliope[/name]. Here is our very short list (they all seem to have a caveat or two!):

Boys:
[name]Caspian[/name] - not sure if I we want another C name, esp. because my husband’s name starts with a C
[name]Everest[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t want to end up calling him [name]Evie[/name] (eh-vee), since it’s popular amongst little girls in our area ([name]Washington[/name], DC)

Girls:
Lexington - DH and I both grew up in New [name]York[/name], and I grew up on Lexington Avenue. But I’m not sure if this is too weird. [name]Love[/name] the name in full, not huge on [name]Lexi[/name], but DH likes [name]Lex[/name].
[name]October[/name] - She’ll be a February (or [name]March[/name] if she’s late) baby… is that weird?
[name]Amaryllis[/name] - first heard this in The [name]Music[/name] [name]Man[/name] but not sure if it’s too out there.

Sorry that was so very long! Any suggestions/comments/wisdom would be very appreciated!

Congrats on your second child. [name]Calliope[/name] (sp?) is such a unique yet beautiful name. I am sure it fits her well.
Here are my thoughts on your name choices:

Boys:
[name]Caspian[/name] - I adore [name]Caspian[/name], I love the [name]Narnia[/name] series. This does kind of lock you into ‘c’ names for any future children.
[name]Everest[/name] - I know that you don’t want to nickname him [name]Evie[/name] but what about [name]Ever[/name]? I think that could be cute.

Girls:
Lexington - This is a great way to bring a bit of history into your child’s name. Since [name]Calliope[/name] is kind of an unbeatable name this would be a way to be different yet just as impressive.
[name]October[/name] - I know that you can do [name]April[/name], [name]May[/name] and [name]June[/name] on a child born at any time, but names like [name]January[/name], [name]October[/name] and [name]November[/name] should probably be born at least in the same season.
[name]Amaryllis[/name] - I like this name the best. She could go my [name]Amy[/name], [name]Ama[/name], [name]Mary[/name], [name]Ary[/name], Ryllis. If you nn her [name]Mary[/name] then it is like [name]Mimi[/name] so you would have C name and an M name.

congrats on your newest bundle of joy.
