Need some objective opinions!!

My family and I have terribly different naming styles, so I am having a hard time finding a name I love that I feel confident to use. I know that I like names that are different, and I want to be sensitive to that - so that our little one doesn’t end up with a horrible name. I love girls names with options. (ie [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Charlie[/name]). My sons are [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Elliott[/name] and [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Lewis[/name]. Our last name is [name]Meier[/name] (Pr [name]Meyer[/name]). Boys names have always come easy to us, and we have picked [name]Bennett[/name] [name]Grey[/name] for a boy, but the girls name is really giving us a run for our money. We have only been able to agree on two names:

[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Ellison[/name] [name]Faith[/name] (nn [name]Ellie[/name])

We both like but don’t think it fits for our sib set:

[name]Charlotte[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name])

[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Grace[/name] - I like this pretty well! But it is surname-ish and since your boys names are too, she might sound like the third brother
[name]Ellison[/name] [name]Faith[/name] (nn [name]Ellie[/name]) - ditto above, especially since you have a boy whose name ends in son, too. What about [name]Ella[/name], [name]Ellis[/name], [name]Allison[/name], [name]Alice[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Ellen[/name].

I like but my husband hates:

[name]Clementine[/name] - sad he hates it! It’s so nice!
[name]Agatha[/name] - ditto!

What about [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Opal[/name], [name]Agnes[/name], [name]Althea[/name], [name]Tabitha[/name], [name]Talitha[/name], [name]Clemence[/name], [name]Mercy[/name], [name]Caroline[/name]

See, I think you and he can find middle ground with a very girly name. [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Agatha[/name], [name]Isabella[/name], and [name]Sara[/name] are all nice, feminine, beautiful names, just you like more uncommon/old-ish names, and he likes more currently stylish or timeless ones. What about:

[name]Isadora[/name], [name]Arabella[/name], [name]Zara[/name], [name]Seraphina[/name]

We both like but don’t think it fits for our sib set:

[name]Penelope[/name] - I think it could fit OK. [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Helena[/name], [name]Elena[/name]?
[name]Charlotte[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name]) - I think this would be fine! [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Juliet[/name]?

Good luck!

[name]One[/name] name that came to mind for an alternative to [name]Ellison[/name] was [name]Ellery[/name]. I think it is first a boys name, but its being used for girls. I think it sounds quite a bit more feminine than [name]Ellison[/name], despite the fact it is a boys name. I’ve also seen it spelled [name]Ellary[/name], which gives the nicname [name]Ella[/name], as well as [name]Ellie[/name].

I like [name]Quincy[/name], but it is a surname like your boy’s names. What about [name]Quinn[/name]? [name]Quinn[/name] is adorable and even though it’s a surname too, I think it fits better as a girl name in your sibset. I think [name]Charlotte[/name] can fit in, especially if you like the nn [name]Charlie[/name]. [name]Cooper[/name], [name]Jackson[/name], and [name]Charlie[/name] is pretty cute. I think [name]Juliet[/name] would fit in well. You could call her [name]Juli/name, [name]Jules[/name], or [name]Jet[/name]. Good luck!

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]ELLERY[/name]! My hubby said “no.” :frowning:
