[name_m]Just[/name_m] looking for some thoughts and other opinions on these names for girls. They’ve been in my head for awhile and I would love to know your thoughts, first impressions, what you think about what I think, etc. Also if you could tell me your favorite name(s) of my little list here that’d be cool! Thanks everyone!
[name_u]Casey[/name_u] - I like it because it’s edgy and unique for a girl.
[name_u]Rey[/name_u] - [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars has got me loving this name and spelling! It would also be a way to honor my father whose middle name is [name_u]Ray[/name_u].
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] - I like this name because it could have the cute nickname of [name_m]Kenny[/name_m]. However, I also really don’t like it because of it’s automatic and extreme association with the Kardashians. I don’t support or approve of them in any way. However I like this name so…
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - I love this name! But I’m afraid it’s becoming too popular for me.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] - Same situation as above. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the name, this one specifically was in my tops for awhile, but it seems like it’s getting too popular.
[name_f]Karen[/name_f] - It’s a classic name that I really love for some reason.
[name_u]Casey[/name_u] - cute on a girl, but after she turns 35, not cute
[name_u]Rey[/name_u] - surprisingly cool on a girl; I’m not a fan of boys’ names going to the girls, but this works
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] - Kardashians ruin great names, don’t they? I don’t love them or hate them, but if they use a name, it’s as if they take ownership because so many people hold the association to their family. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Kendall[/name_u], anyhow, as it’s always sounded like “[name_m]Ken[/name_m] doll” to me.
[name_f]Karen[/name_f] - like [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], and [name_f]Betty[/name_f], I love the ‘new classic’ feel of [name_f]Karen[/name_f]; guaranteed to be the only one in her class. I get why you love it.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is my favorite by far. I like [name_f]Karen[/name_f], but it seems dated to me (I don’t know one who is under 40). I’m not a fan of unisex names.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is my favorite of those. It is a bit trendy, but I still think it’s great! [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is probably my second favorite. I’m not big on unisex names but I do find it appealing. It’s interesting what you said about [name_u]Casey[/name_u], as I’ve always thought of it more as a girl’s name, similar to [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] or [name_u]Lindsey[/name_u]. That could be a regional thing, though.
[name_u]Rey[/name_u] literally means king in Spanish. I wouldn’t use it on a girl. I like [name_u]Casey[/name_u] for a girl, and [name_f]Karen[/name_f] is nice too. I don’t really care for the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], it sounds too harsh to me. [name_u]Kendall[/name_u] is an ok name too, but I wouldn’t use it because of the Kardashians.
[name_u]Rey[/name_u] - I like it and nice that it’s an honor name too.
[name_u]Kendall[/name_u] - not a fan.
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - I love this name too. I don’t think it’s too popular.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] - this one I do find too popular.
[name_f]Karen[/name_f] - nice
My favorite would be [name_u]Casey[/name_u]. [name_u]Casey[/name_u] [name_u]Rey[/name_u] or [name_u]Casey[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] would be great!
