Need Suggestions for Baby Girl #3

We confirmed today that our [name]Baby[/name] #4 will be a girl. We have 2 girls and 1 boy, and I just feel a little like we have exhausted our name ideas without having anything that we are excited about. I’m open to any and all suggestions.

The sibling names we are working with are,

[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Abrielle[/name]
[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Archer[/name] [name]Ellison[/name]

Thanks so much for your suggestions!

Okay, since you have two ‘A’ names, what about an ‘e’ name so it matches [name]Evangeline[/name]?

  • I think your name style is up and coming- with the girl’s names feminine but not frilly and the boy name masculine.

Here are some suggestions:

[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Erin[/name]
[name]Esther[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Echo[/name]
[name]Esmeralda[/name]
[name]Esperanza[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name]
[name]Estella[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Eleanora[/name]

Another option is to have a vowel name, other than ‘a’, to tie together the sibset subtly and not have the new name standout:

[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Iana[/name]
[name]Ilena[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Ione[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Odessa[/name]
[name]Olympia[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Yasmin[/name]
[name]Yana[/name]
[name]Yulia[/name]
[name]Iola[/name]
[name]Isle[/name]

I think it would be nice to go with an “E” name since you already have 2 A’s. Sometimes sibs feel left out if this happens.
Some names that would sound nice with [name]Evangeline[/name], [name]Aurelia[/name], and [name]Archer[/name] are

[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Elsbeth[/name] or [name]Elspeth[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]

[name]Daphne[/name]-this was the first name that popped into my head when I saw your daughters’ names
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Elara[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Audra[/name]
[name]Andorra[/name]
[name]Calais[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Vienna[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Ada[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Eliana[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Charlize[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Ione[/name]
[name]Isaline[/name]
[name]Lelia[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Lorelei[/name]
[name]Odette[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Emiliana[/name]
[name]Zinnia[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Petra[/name]
[name]Portia[/name]
[name]Lavender[/name]
[name]Mila[/name]
[name]Milena[/name]
[name]Sonia[/name]
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name]
[name]Magdalena[/name]
[name]Seraphine[/name]

I have been thinking I really like [name]Lavender[/name]. I have a special aunt that passed away last year named [name]Molly[/name], and I think [name]Lavender[/name] [name]Molly[/name] is REALLY cute. My only hesitation is that there isn’t ANYTHING you can shorten [name]Lavender[/name] to!

[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Tess[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Anais[/name]

[name]Lavender[/name] [name]Molly[/name] is so beautiful, and ties in perfectly with your other children’s names  Go for it!

I do see the issue with nicknames, and it is a pity, but I guess it’s not the end of the world if she goes only by [name]Lavender[/name].

They might be a bit of a stretch, but here are some nm ideas:

[name]Ava[/name]
Aven
[name]Veda[/name]
[name]Vivi[/name]
[name]Liv[/name]
[name]Lola[/name] ([name]Lavender[/name] [name]Molly[/name] -> [name]Lolly[/name] -> [name]Lola[/name])
[name]Lena[/name]/[name]Leni[/name]

I think another ‘E’ name would be nice since you have two that have ‘A’ names, and only one with an ‘E’ name.

[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Elisha[/name]
[name]Elspeth[/name]
[name]Eugenie[/name]

others:
[name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Antonia[/name]
[name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Georgette[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Kimberly[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Magdalen[/name]
[name]Philippa[/name]
[name]Agatha[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Francesca[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name]

I love [name]Lavender[/name] [name]Molly[/name], but it doesn’t seem to fit with your other kids’ names. If I met someone with kids named [name]Evangeline[/name], [name]Aurelia[/name], [name]Archer[/name], and [name]Lavender[/name], I’d find myself asking (mentally of course) where [name]Lavender[/name] came from.

I agreed you should have another E.

My suggestions:

[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Emmalyn[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Elisabeth[/name]

I adore [name]Lavender[/name]! It is on my own list and I know one who goes by nn [name]Lena[/name] which sounds like a beautiful bell ringing to me.

[name]Lavender[/name] [name]Molly[/name] seems to fit in perfectly with your other girls’ names. It is a great name (and color) and if she always goes by her full name, it would be fine. Of course, she could always go by an unrelated nn as well, like Beauty or Boo [name]Bear[/name] (lol). Good luck! =]

[name]Elise[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name], although the spelling is really similar to [name]Evangeline[/name].

I thought I’d update with a few other names we’ve talked about since my husband and I have had some time to talk…

My husband thinks it is his turn to have the final say because he wanted to name [name]Archer[/name] [name]Atticus[/name], and I refused. Anyway, had [name]Archer[/name] been a girl, we would have named her [name]Jubilee[/name]. It has since been used by the Duggars. I don’t WANT to let it ruin it for me, but UGH UGH UGH. He said it’s “his turn,” and he doesn’t give a crap about the Duggars. We don’t have a great middle name though.

We also both like [name]Iris[/name] [name]Amelie[/name], but I am afraid there is a BIG risk of there being MANY little girls named [name]Iris[/name] over the years. I am not a huge fan of my kids having to share their name if preventable.

We also both like [name]Oceane[/name], but I’m just completely afraid that people will FAIL ALWAYS at pronouncing it. I mean, it wouldn’t bother me SO much but people struggle with [name]Aurelia[/name] ENDLESSLY…even when you TELL them. There are SEVERAL people that she has known for YEARS that cannot get it right. She gets [name]Ariella[/name], [name]Ariel[/name], Aureleela, and I can’t even think of what else. That makes me think [name]Oceane[/name] is just an impossibility.

So that’s where we’re at! It’s a short list!

I am w your hubby who cares about the Dougards. Go w [name]Jubilee[/name]!
