I need some name suggestions for this character I’m working on. The story I’m working on involves characters fullfilling their destiny and letting go of the things that hold them back. This character is the “mother” figure in the group of main characters. She calls it the way she sees it. [name]Even[/name] if she wants to stay out of things everyone comes to her for advice. She loves designer clothes, her favorite color is pink, she designs her own jewerly, and will try anything once. She’s a black belt in karate and loves to wear ball caps when she’s lounging around the house.
I’m not sure on a last name, but I’m thinking Bell, Fell, Ward, Hughes, Foster.
Names I’m feeling…[name]Pamela[/name], [name]Karen[/name], [name]Kelly[/name].
Would love to hear thoughts on the names I picked, and would love to hear more ideas.
My favorite names that have been chosen are [name]Karen[/name] and [name]Laura[/name]. [name]Both[/name] instantly bring up mother types, that are at the same time trendy.
I’m really seeing a [name]Cheryl[/name] and [name]Felicia[/name] especially with the meanings. And for the last name, I’m liking [name]Hughes[/name] and Fell the best.
If this helps at all here are a couple of the other characters in this novel. Female:
[name]Marcy[/name] [name]Pierce[/name]…tattoo artist who dropped out of med school.
[name]Bonnie[/name] [name]Sommers[/name]…haven’t cooked up a story for her yet. [name]Male[/name]:
[name]Robin[/name] Hawkins…African-american ex-cop from Philedelphia.
[name]Oren[/name] [name]Kodiak[/name]…A pilot from Alaska who can’t get over the death of his wife and child. His friends consider him a gentle giant.
I’ll tell you a little more about the character. She is split from her husband. It was nasty. They have 4 kids and she has not seen her kids in 5 years. Her husband kidnapped them and they are now living in a different country. This character soul focus is to get her kids back and she’ll do whatever it takes.
She reminds me of someone from my Karate dojo her name’s [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Lennon[/name], everyone just calls her ‘M’. Other names that come to mind are [name]Elsa[/name] & [name]Patricia[/name].
There is an author named [name]Cheryl[/name] [name]Hughes[/name], so that elimates [name]Cheryl[/name]. A author has also claimed [name]Ellen[/name] [name]Hughes[/name]. She’s [name]Mary[/name] [name]Ellen[/name] [name]Hughes[/name], but goes by [name]Ellen[/name]. So I guess I shouldn’t use [name]Ellen[/name]. I like [name]Kelly[/name], but I don’t really want another ‘K’ name because the main female character…I’m thinking of naming her [name]Katherine[/name] (nn. [name]Kate[/name]). I should really use a 3 syllable name and [name]Pamela[/name] would work.
I’ve decided to go with [name]Pamela[/name] Zobelle. Now I don’t know whether to go with [name]Pamela[/name] [name]Zobel[/name]? [name]Pamela[/name] Zobell? [name]Pamela[/name] Zobelle? I’m thinking Zobell because I don’t really need the extra ‘e’ in there.
