Need your nameberry professional opinions! Odette for my baby girl

I think of someone perhaps foreign, a bit exotic, and maybe even a little aloof…

I love it! Such an understated elegance and great namesakes that any little girl would be proud of. Plus The Swan [name]Princess[/name] movie has the best songs! So you’ll be able to enjoy it when she watches it over and over and over… =]

thank you!!

I think of The Swan [name]Princess[/name]

I would have to say [name]Odette[/name] is nms, its sort of clunky and plain sounding to me but my frame of reference and the only ones I know are elderly old ladies. In the states I think it probably comes off as fresh and Swan princess related but I would test drive it on other sites to get “real world” feedback outside of NB

@thetxbelle where are you from out of interest?

I’ve never met anyone called [name]Odette[/name],live in the UK.

@Hayley88 I’m from the states but my husband and I split our time between [name]France[/name] and the US.

I went to school with an [name]Odette[/name] - she was very intelligent, popular and pretty. Nobody seemed to have any problems pronouncing or spelling it. It always struck me as being unusual but still “normal”. She’ll fit in but stand out. [name]Odette[/name]'s a great name!

[name]Odette[/name] is an excellent choice. I envision a charming, sophisticated girl with that name.

I love [name]Odette[/name]! It’s a MN on my own list ([name]Liliana[/name] [name]Odette[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]), although I would love to meet a little [name]Odette[/name]. I think it’s so dainty and stunning. I think I’d just swoon if I met a little French girl named [name]Odette[/name] (really, any girl, but a little [name]Odette[/name] with a French accent would be too cute!). I don’t know an [name]Odette[/name] personally, but I would be so thrilled if I did!
