Hola! I was wondering if you name lovers out there could give me some feedback on the name . . .
[name]Tia[/name]
I’ve been thinking about it alot lately, and I’m really starting to like it because it is short, sweet, and sounds perfect for a little toddler. Besides, it reminds me of the show ‘[name]Sister[/name], [name]Sister[/name]’ which I loved as a child
I agree with this. I’ve never been a huge fan of [name]Tia[/name] or [name]Tina[/name], personally, but there’s nothing wrong with it. I like [name]Mia[/name], [name]Via[/name], [name]Fia[/name], [name]Lia[/name]/[name]Lea[/name]/[name]Leah[/name], [name]Nia[/name], [name]Zia[/name], and [name]Ria[/name] more, though, personally. Maybe you could do [name]Valentina[/name] or [name]Tiana[/name], nn [name]Tia[/name]?
I actually thought about it meaning Aunt first, then I thought of [name]Sister[/name], [name]Sister[/name] (which I loved growing up too). I think it’s sweet and simple, but I would like it better as a nn for something else like:
It might sound sweet on a toddler but I don’t think it ages particularly well. It needs a longer form to give it some weight, that isn’t [name]Tiana[/name], bogan name of choice. My favourite would be [name]Talia[/name].
Totally agree. ‘It sounds perfect on a little toddler’ is usually not a recommendation, [name]IMO[/name]; almost anything can sound sweet on a toddler, but that’s one tiny sliver of a person’s life.
I’d go with something that can be nicknamed [name]Tia[/name].
A lot of people speak spanish, and it does mean Aunt… and the nice thing about a longer name that includes [name]Tia[/name] is that she has the option of whichever she chooses as she grows up…
I was going to say “It reminds me of [name]Sister[/name], [name]Sister[/name] so I wouldn’t use it,” but if you like that connection you should go for it. But I would use it as a nn for something longer
I know a [name]Tia[/name] and it is a great name. Short, simple yet sounds pretty.
I suppose [name]Tiana[/name] could be a longer name with [name]Tia[/name] as a nn, but I do think [name]Tia[/name] is fine stand alone. After all, [name]Zoe[/name] is 3 letters and 2 syllables too.
