Needing A Title

I’m working on a story that’s a sort of religious trauma about these three kids that are a demon, angel, and reaper. They’re taken from home at a young age, and trained for a year, before being sent out on a perilous task, and if they survive, they get to train a bit longer before being sent to fight each other. Then in true action story fashion, they rebel, and eventually defeat the bad guy. This is all well and good, the problem is, I need a title for this story.

I don’t want to be given a title, because then I wouldn’t quite feel right about actually using it if I ever get this published, but I would like to hear any pre-existing book/movie titles that you feel have a similar feeling, or words you feel might properly describe what I’m looking for. Just to help inspire me to find the right title.

Edit: I’m going to list some character names to help you get a feel for the type of fantasy I’m going for. Invictus, Victarion, Meliora, Avarice, Aloysius, Araceli, Celio, and Rosario.

Please answer kindly. Thanks in advance.

Brainstorming, eh?

[name_f][/name_f]

Maybe something about them being intended as enemies…star-crossed…rivals…unexpected…unlikely…

[name_f][/name_f]

Maybe something about them working together against the odds, or seeing past the labels each of them were given…

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Or[/name_m] something about them rising up together… uprising…coup…coup d’é·tat…rebellion…

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Or[/name_m] using the term “trinity” because they’re 3 theological figures…

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Or[/name_m] maybe something about how they overthrow the real enemy…the foe…foe is a fun word.

One question is, do these three end up calling themselves something, or being called something once they’re a group? Because that would be the lowest hanging fruit.

[name_f][/name_f]

I guess the ultimate question, though, is what this story is really about? Because that could definitely play into the title.

One, I love the idea of incorporating the Trinity.

Two, they wouldn’t call themselves something, but I can see the rest of the world calling them something, and I love the idea of the lowest hanging fruit, especially because of the ties to the fruits of the spirit.

Three, I guess this story is technically about the toxicity surrounding Christianity in some situations. Even though I’ve not really personally experienced that.

Perhaps evoking a name from Christianity of a rebel or betrayer of the faith?

[name_m]Judas[/name_m], [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] or [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] would be the obvious choices, but maybe [name_m]Demas[/name_m] would fit better depending on the characters’ motivations? He worked with the Apostle [name_m]Paul[/name_m] for a while spreading word of the gospel, but then abandoned him because he ‘loved this present world’. This is typically characterised as [name_m]Demas[/name_m] choosing earthly values over spiritual ones, but perhaps your story offers a different perspective? Particularly if your characters choose a messy reality over a promised, but as yet unfilled destiny.

‘False idols’ or ‘forsaking’ could also act as concepts for a title of you didn’t want to go with a given name.

It’s less about the beings that represent humanity betraying [name_m]God[/name_m], and more like portraying the diety meant to represent [name_m]God[/name_m] as a horrible thing.

[name_f][/name_f]

Sort of like turning the [name_m]Christian[/name_m] [name_m]God[/name_m] into the false ideology of [name_m]God[/name_m] that a lot of fake Christians use as an excuse to persecute others.

[name_f][/name_f]

On that note, Iscariot, Judas’ last name will definitely be involved somehow.

I would be thrilled to have you use a title I suggest. Maybe a thank you or dedication? That would be cool. Well, I give you full permission anyway, but trying to give word hints
