We’re expecting in late [name_u]March[/name_u], and I could really really use some of your creative minds to help us name this one. We already have a son and a daughter, both of whom have “family” middle names. So for this baby, the middle name will be one of [name_f]Judith[/name_f] or [name_u]Selby[/name_u] (I know, not a wide choice).
For a first name, we’ve managed to narrow our list down a lot, but I don’t really feel like we’ve got the name quite right. Our list as it stands is…
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] (though maybe too trendy?)
[name_f]Serena[/name_f]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
Here are my parameters, and I’m hoping that one of you out there will have a great suggestion for us.
Not too trendy sounding, we prefer more classic sounding names
Popular is okay if the name is great, but I’d rather avoid the top 25 names if possible
It can’t be a noun or even a common word (like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] or [name_f]Willow[/name_f]), just because of our last name
Our daughter’s name is [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
Names already used up by in our family include: [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Kiera[/name_f], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_u]Meredith[/name_u], [name_f]Carys[/name_f], [name_f]Cate[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
If I had to pick from your choices I’d go with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] as for the middle names, I think [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] sounds nice
Some not are your list but maybe you’d like:
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] (but it might be too matchy match woth your daughter)
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] ( traditional but not really too common, I like it a lot)
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] ( I think this would be cute with [name_u]Selby[/name_u] or [name_f]Judith[/name_f])
I like [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] the most.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_u]Selby[/name_u]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Judith[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f]
Personally, I would eliminate [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]. It just doesn’t go with the elegant [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], imo. I’d probably say the same for [name_u]Avery[/name_u], though [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] sound better together. [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] would be my pick.
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f], [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] would all work. With [name_u]Selby[/name_u], I like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. Good luck
Of your list, [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is my favorite. However, it is certainly extremely popular.
Here are some suggestions, sorry for repeats:
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (too similar to [name_f]Julia[/name_f]?)
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
I am loving all of these new suggestions! Yes, i fear [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] definitely sounds too much like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], but am excited about some of these other suggestions. Please keep them coming!!
I like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] a lot and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is one of my favorites too so I’m a bit biased.
