You can’t expect us to pick just one from this fabulous list!!
I like the idea of [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Cate[/name]/[name]Kate[/name] but maybe it’s not too interesting. [name]Both[/name] lovely, traditional names and I love the full forms as well as nicknames.
[name]Lydia[/name] - This is such a beautiful name, but no real nickname. Would this be a problem for the parents-to-be?
[name]Felicity[/name] - same as above and I can better see [name]Abigail[/name] as a twin to [name]Lydia[/name] than [name]Felicity[/name].
[name]Susannah[/name] - I love this one with [name]Abigail[/name]. [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Susy[/name], [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Annie[/name], [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Anna[/name], really cute.
[name]Hannah[/name] - I’m not a fan of [name]Hannah[/name] and to me the combination of [name]Hannah[/name] and [name]Abigail[/name] underlines the biblical roots of both names (which may or may not be desired). Same with [name]Rachel[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] - I could more see [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] than [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Abigail[/name] but I do like it.
[name]Lillian[/name] - this would make a cute combo both with nicknames and long forms.
[name]Evelyn[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name]! [name]Abigail[/name]/[name]Abby[/name] has been popular for a while and [name]Evelyn[/name] is just starting to come out of her old-lady phase. Does that make them an odd combination? I like the sound of the two names together though.
I think I would go with [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name] ([name]Abby[/name] and [name]Cate[/name]) because the girls will both have lovely full names and neither the full name nor the nickname sounds too similar (don’t both end in -ee sound)
That’s a pretty great list! I love a lot of those names. With [name]Abigail[/name] I really like [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] and [name]Rachel[/name]
[name]Abigail[/name] is a traditional and biblical name, so I voted for [name]Susannah[/name] (really prefer it without the h, as it is in the NT - [name]Susanna[/name]), [name]Rachel[/name], and [name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Katherine[/name]. But it depends too on whether you plan to call [name]Abigail[/name] by her full name or by [name]Abby[/name] – and if the latter, with that traditional spelling or some other way.
Wow that was difficult. I voted [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name]. My second choice would be [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] which I still recommend if you don’t plan to call [name]Abigail[/name] “[name]Abby[/name]”. But if you do, I think that [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Katie[/name] would be very cute…hence [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name] receiving my final vote. [name]Both[/name] [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name] have an elegance similar to [name]Abigail[/name] and are traditional and feminine. Good luck!
It’s a toss up between [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] for me…[name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name] seem like a more classic pairing, while [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] sound so graceful and elegent together. Good luck!!
