[name_f]Liliane[/name_f] " [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] " [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] Boisclair (16) is [name_u]Abby[/name_u] 's friend who was a student in the same school as her but was admitted to a gifted program at a young age due to her outstanding abilities in geography and history. The daughter of a French-Canadian professor and an American lawyer, she didn’t really interract with the people in her age group because they assumed she was just a nerd who thinks she’s better than anyone. It wasn’t the case but the rumours and assumptions ruined her reputation and she only interracted with the “uncool” kids who were on the bottom of the school food chain. She eventually developed a protective personality towards her bullied friends and loved to joke around “I’m actually the second coming of Robespierre, if they dare to torment you , I won’t hesitate to chop their head off. Then she grinned and exaggerated her accent, adding " To the guillotine they go!”
She was actually fascinated with Robespierre and history in general because of her father who studied the revolutionary leader’s speeches extensively to be able to do academic reasearch about what really went down during the so-called “Reign of terror” in the [name_u]French[/name_u] Revolution and if Robespierre was really a dictator who orchestrated over 40,000 deaths in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] or only a spacegoat of post-revolutionary propaganda. Unfortunately, while in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] to do his reasearch, her father collaborated with [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] , another reasearcher and they had absolutely different perspectives on the events yet decided to work it out together , resulting in the best-selling book. What followed was a lot of fame and fortune in the academic community which her father turned out to be too vain to ignore and wrote another book with [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] , which they both took as an opportunity to decieve their families and engage in romance. After long moths of absence from the US her dad only came home to deliver divorce papers to her mom and say that he loved [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and that the Frenchwoman is 7 months pregnant with his child, at which point he had no choice but to leave his American family behind. He did not speak to [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] or to her mom ever again.
Following the events, [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] buried herself in history books despite previously being a rather rebellious and carefree child, hoping that by emulating her father’s interests he would come back home and become proud of her. As a child she blamed herself for her parent’s divorce because she didn’t really understand what led him to abandon the family.
She stayed true to her promise to protect her friends - she reaserched information about eating disorders to be a able to warn [name_u]Abby[/name_u] about the dangers of her behavoiour around food, however when [name_u]Abby[/name_u] ignored her “smartass friend” (like she never did before), [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] alarmed [name_u]Abby[/name_u] 's parents instaed. [name_u]Abby[/name_u] and [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] got into an argument in [name_u]French[/name_u] because [name_u]Abby[/name_u] thought that by telling her parents, [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] betrayed her. However, she now understands that it was for own good. [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] and [name_u]Abby[/name_u] still use [name_u]French[/name_u] as their secret code and it was due to [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] 's great sense of support and motivation mixed in with humour which was one of the driving forces for [name_u]Abby[/name_u] to turn her life around in eight grade. [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] was the first person that [name_u]Abby[/name_u] came out to and the first one of her friends who knew about her and [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] 's relationship. [name_u]Abby[/name_u] jokes that they’ll never have a double date because her friend constantly has her nose in the books, but [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] is actually planning an adventurous trip with her 3 friends from the school’s Geography Club - and one of the members of the club has recently become more than just friends with her. [name_f]Liliane[/name_f] is sure that the travel journal that her friends are going to write during the trip will be a hit in the Geography Club - and she also plans to listen to *angel dust’s * songs while writing because as she says “Without music there is no inspiration for anything”
