New List

Here are some new names I like for boys.

Thoughts?

[name]Sutton[/name]
[name]Beckett[/name]
[name]Truman[/name]
[name]Beckham[/name]
Truett
[name]Jacoby[/name]
[name]Boden[/name]
[name]Lane[/name]
[name]Greydon[/name]
[name]Paden[/name]

Thanks!!

[name]Sutton[/name] - I don’t quite like this. While I like the sound, I think of mutton and [name]Sutton[/name] [name]Foster[/name] (who is fine but makes it feel a little feminine to me)
[name]Beckett[/name] - I know this name does well with most Berries. While I want to love it, I find it a little harsh-sounding.
[name]Truman[/name] - I like this a lot (I like the nn [name]True[/name])
[name]Beckham[/name] - as in the soccer star? Nope.
Truett - I like this okay (nn [name]True[/name] again)
[name]Jacoby[/name] - I like this pretty well; a nice spin of [name]Jacob[/name]
[name]Boden[/name] - makes me think of “bogan,” Australian slang for (more or less) “white trash”
[name]Lane[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] this name. [name]Love[/name] it.
[name]Greydon[/name] - okay. I love [name]Grey[/name], and would probably just do [name]Grey[/name] or use [name]Greyson[/name]!
[name]Paden[/name] - looks made up to me. I don’t like this one.

thanks!!!

[name]Sutton[/name] - I like it a lot, but I’ve heard it considered so many times for a girl that it does feel a bit effeminate to me. I prefer it used on a boy, but tbh, I can’t really tell which gender I see it on, since I’ve heard it tossed around so many times for girls…
[name]Beckett[/name] - love. I adore this for a boy, and I’m currently considering it. I also love [name]Bennett[/name], [name]Everett[/name], and half a dozen other “ett” names (not to mention the et names I love for girls), so one’s going to have to go… I don’t know which it’ll be yet. I love this, though, and I think the nn [name]Beck[/name] is seriously cool for a boy!
[name]Truman[/name] - love this, and the nn [name]True[/name]. I also love Truett for a boy!
[name]Beckham[/name] - vastly prefer [name]Beckett[/name]. [name]Beckham[/name] is too celebrity-inspired for me. Kind of like Aniston. I’m afraid it just looks like someone’s obsessed with the star. :frowning:
Truett - see [name]Truman[/name].
[name]Jacoby[/name] - I like this, but I vastly prefer just [name]Jack[/name] or [name]Jacob[/name].
[name]Boden[/name] - I’m not a huge fan, it reminds me of [name]Borden[/name], which I like much better (despite the [name]Lizzie[/name] [name]Borden[/name] association–the author of Seabiscuit has an extremely debilitating disease, and her boyfriend, whose name is [name]Borden[/name], helped her through it… I had to read an article written by [name]Laura[/name] Hillenbrand about how great he was to her during the worst of the ordeal, so I have a great association with the name). It also makes me think of [name]Bowen[/name] and [name]Brody[/name], which I also love…
[name]Lane[/name] - I like it, but with the popularity of [name]Laney[/name] on girls, I think it might be seen as sort of girly. Still, I do like it a lot. I knew someone who had a son named [name]Lane[/name] [name]Everett[/name], and I always thought that was really handsome.
[name]Greydon[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] the nn [name]Grey[/name] (prefer [name]Gray[/name], though), but [name]Greydon[/name] is too much a part of the [name]Aiden[/name] trend for me to like anymore. I did used to love it, but now I much prefer [name]Grayson[/name], Grayer, or just [name]Gray[/name]/[name]Grey[/name]…
[name]Paden[/name] - I like its sound, but I think [name]Peyton[/name] works a lot better.

[name]Beckett[/name], [name]Truman[/name], and Truett are my favorites! Good luck!

[name]Sutton[/name] - it feels like a place name to me - there is a small town near me that has this in its name so feels unusable.
[name]Beckett[/name] - It’s okay, don’t love it
[name]Truman[/name] - makes me think of the film “[name]Truman[/name] show”
[name]Beckham[/name] - Too closely associated with [name]David[/name] [name]Beckham[/name].
Truett - I prefer [name]Truman[/name] over this variation.
[name]Jacoby[/name] - Nice, really like this one.
[name]Boden[/name] - Not working for me personally.
[name]Lane[/name] - Doesn’t sound like a boy name that much.
[name]Greydon[/name] - Like! I also like [name]Grayson[/name].
[name]Paden[/name] - Reminds me too much of [name]Peyton[/name], I’m not a fan of that name either.

[name]Sutton[/name] - I really like this on a boy or a girl! It’s different and I think it’s one of those names that no one will actually know what sex the child is until they meet them and the child will really make the name their own.

[name]Beckett[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name].

[name]Truman[/name] - Feels too last namey, and not very usable as a first name.

[name]Beckham[/name] - This is a massive guilty pleasure for me! I love it and like the idea of using it but I think it’s more usable on a pet!

Truett - Dislike this one.

[name]Jacoby[/name] - Gorgeous, makes the overused [name]Jacob[/name] seem nice again. I love the idea of the nn [name]Coby[/name] too.

[name]Boden[/name] - This is interesting but sounds so similar to other -aden names and fits in with the whole -en/an endings trend.

[name]Lane[/name] - I can’t see it as a name.

[name]Greydon[/name] - So trendy sounding with the whole -aden trend, much prefer [name]Grayson[/name].

[name]Paden[/name] - See above.

I love [name]Beckham[/name], [name]Jacoby[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Sutton[/name]!
