[name_m]Samedi[/name_m]. It means [name_m]Saturday[/name_m] in [name_m]French[/name_m] and, although I’d never use it due to pronunciation problems (it’s Sahm-[name_f]DEE[/name_f]), WDYT of it as a character/pet/GP name?
I took [name_m]French[/name_m] all the way up until the end of high school, so I can’t see this as a name, just as a word. For a character maybe, in the right kind of story- e.g. a parody/satire of [name_m]French[/name_m] people, or something else comic- but in general, no, I don’t think it works. Sorry.
It could be an okay name for a pet but I think anyone who speaks french will find [name_m]Samedi[/name_m] to be a very weird name. It’s akin to naming someone [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] or [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], but without the Hollywood credibility. Plus English speakers will only hear [name_u]Sam[/name_u] D.
Idk, I know girls named [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] and [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f], and there was a TV character called [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f]…so [name_m]Samedi[/name_m] doesn’t sound too over the top to me.
