Leofwynn is so striking and grand! Definitely a show-stopper, in the best way possible.
She fits well with your list; you have medieval-chic monikers to match her origins, whimsical and bold names to match her vibe. I wouldn’t say she’s too ‘prissy’, in fact, quite the opposite. I imagine a strong and confident girl who, despite her small stature, isn’t afraid of anything. She is firery and honest, yet gentle and caring.
To be honest, the pronunciation caught me off guard a bit! [name_f]My[/name_f] instinctive thoughts were to bring out my Welsh and pronounce it ‘lay-OV-winn’ (the ‘f’ is kind of in the middle of a v and a f!). I did some digging and found out that Leofwynn is not in fact Welsh, but the name of an Anglo-Saxon saint. This sent me down a rabbit hole of Anglo-Saxon phonetics but after a while still I couldn’t figure out how it was pronounced! If you don’t mind me asking, where did you find that pronunciation? It’s definitely my favorite of all the pronunciations I considered! I would say that the general (non-namenerd, American) public would say something along the lines of ‘lee-OFF-winn’, if you even care about that, but as always it is easily corrected.
Sorry for the waffling!! Anyways, what I was trying to get to is that if you were to have a little Leofwynn, she would likely run into pronunciation/spelling issues but not so much so that it would become a huge problem if it’s corrected. So no, not too complicated, in fact, the spelling is majestic, gorgeous and gold to me!
Leofwynn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] and Rosfrith [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] Firefly/Daffodil are sparkling, they feel like they match the vibe of true ‘Sage classics’. I think I’d melt if I met sisters named these! Leofwynn and Rosfrith bring out the shine in the other name. I prefer Rosfrith [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Firefly[/name_f], because I feel that all the names are about the same color in my head (if that makes sense!), kind of like a firery, goldy, auburn. Like crisp autumn leaves at sunset.
Sorry for my immense waffling in this answer, it kinda turned into an essay! Lol!
For my question, could you please recommend/vouch for a couple (one or two or three, maybe more if you feel like it!) names? Like, any name! Maybe your long-time favorite, or just a name you think needs more love. Tell me why you like it, why it is worthy of some love! TIA!
