I’m writing an avenger’s fan-fiction and there is a group built upon the old [name_u]Red[/name_u] Room and [name_f]Hydra[/name_f]. I am trying to find a name that fits so if you have any ideas please share!
Here is some info;
They are stationed in [name_f]Russia[/name_f], [name_u]America[/name_u], [name_m]Germany[/name_m], and [name_f]England[/name_f].
The girls there are fluent in many languages
They include gymnastics and ballet
They work alongside [name_f]Hydra[/name_f]
They aren’t know to SHIELD or the Avengers yet
They put the students in simulators sometimes
Ooh, this is tough, as I can only think of the [name_u]Red[/name_u] Room! Urgh. Let’s see: Attentäterin is female assassin in [name_m]German[/name_m], and if they’re anything like our [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] of the MCU, then I bet they’d be assassins. Also, if they were working alongside [name_f]Hydra[/name_f], I automatically think [name_m]German[/name_m].
“воин” is warrior in Russian, or “voin”.
You could always pick some “malicious” sounding names, like:
-Acacias
-Essau could work
-[name_m]Draven[/name_m] has some nice vibes
-[name_m]Fogarty[/name_m] also sounds kinda nice. Well, not like that…gosh. I don’t even know what I’m saying.
I hope this helped. It was kinda hard, tbh.
My Marvel obsession compelled me to reply to this. I even created an account I’ll probably never use again.
Anyway, I think Anastasia is Russian, and I really like how it can be shortened to Anna, Anya or Sasha.
If I use resources other than my knowledge of Russian names (vast, I know, but one can sometimes not be enough) behindthename.com suggests Galina (shortened to Gala), Faina, Mila, Nina (you know, I’m sensing a pattern here), Olga/Olya, Roza, Sabina, Petya (okay what is Russia’s obsession with names ending in -a?), Kira, Evelina, Jekaterina, and Yudif.
Also please can you send a link to the fic when you’ve written it in case by some miracle I still remember I wrote this comment by that time?
Sieghild/a/e - “victory battle”
Basically, “rún” means secret and “hild” means battle.
Anyway yeah that’s all I can find and be bothered to type out right now, if you’re looking for names with really in-depth meanings, they’re probably not the best but they are common names in those countries (at least, I hope they are. The [name_f]English[/name_f] one definitely is).
