New rescue needs a more fitting name

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’ve just brought home a new rescue cat.

He’s currently called [name_m]Lloyd[/name_m], but I just don’t feel it suits him. I can’t change his name too drastically as he’s 9 and only ever been [name_m]Lloyd[/name_m], but he needs a different name as [name_m]Lloyd[/name_m] just isn’t him.

He’s so so soppy and just lovely. He’s a dark tabby and more on the brown side.

[name_u]Floyd[/name_u] is my current consideration.

All help appreciated!

[name_u]Floy[/name_u], [name_m]Leroy[/name_m], and [name_u]Roy[/name_u] are more ideas I enjoy! I love your description of him. :heart_eyes_cat:

[name_m]Boyd[/name_m] is similar, but I don’t like it much. Maybe [name_u]Roy[/name_u]? [name_u]Or[/name_u], if you’re willing to depart from names similar to Lloyd/Floyd, Chestnut came to mind.

[name_u]Logan[/name_u]
[name_u]Lonnie[/name_u]
[name_u]Lowell[/name_u]
Royc

[name_f]Lolly[/name_f] or [name_f]Lolo[/name_f]
Bok choy
[name_f]Joy[/name_f]

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites with the “oy” sound- [name_m]Fauntleroy[/name_m], [name_m]Hiroyoshi[/name_m], [name_m]Gilderoy[/name_m], [name_m]Moyshe[/name_m], [name_m]Saroyan[/name_m], [name_u]Sequoyah[/name_u], [name_f]Roya[/name_f]

Also [name_m]Aloys[/name_m] and [name_m]Cloyd[/name_m],
