Hello all, I am new to nameberry. I am not expecting, nor am I planning too anytime within the next 5 years or so. That being said, I’m obsessed with names. I stumbled upon this forum about a month ago as I was searching for a good baby name site for character names. I haven’t been able to keep myself away since. I have recently purchased a book called “The Writers Digest Guide to Character Naming” which contains names from all different cultures. I have fallen in love with a few girls names from it, and I wanted to know what people thought of them, and if you ever think they could be usable in real life.
[name]Kalila/name; it is arabic and means dearly loved. I think it fits in with the [name]Lilah[/name]'s and [name]Kylie[/name]'s, and I love the meaning.
[name]Adalia[/name]; german meaning noble.
[name]Amara[/name]; german meaning eternal
Alarice([name]Al[/name]-ah-reese); german, noble ruler, female form of [name]Alaric[/name].
Marlisa; german, form of [name]Mary[/name], meaning bitter
Marelda or Marilda; german meaning famous battle maid.
Nadetta; german meaning courage of a bear
[name]Adara[/name]; greek meaning beautiful
Ademia; greek meaning no husband (not such a nice meaning) I like the idea of the nn [name]Demi[/name]
Now, keep in mind that I am not in the process of naming a child, I just wanted to know what you guys thought of these names that have come to be my guilty pleasures.
