I was watching a show with a girl named [name]Gia[/name] on it, and the name has really grown on me!
It might end up being a GP or a middle name, but either way, what do you berried think of it? [name]How[/name] do you think it fits with my other favourites listed in my signature?
With my SO’s surname, it’s likely never going to be used, and it’s a bit short for my liking, but I still am quite fond of it! Middle name suggestions?
lol, I think it actually sounds great with your BF’s last name! I am really not a fan of [name]Gia[/name] (it strikes me as a Snooki Polizzi wannabe), but I think the idea of [name]Georgiana[/name]/[name]Georgia[/name] nn [name]Gia[/name] would fit in great with your other favorites! Maybe [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Wren[/name] or [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Tess[/name]? I actually really love [name]Georgiana[/name] ______ nn [name]Gia[/name] with [name]Alessandra[/name], [name]Victoria[/name], [name]Katerina[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Elena[/name], etc.!
I love this name! Seems like it would be better as a nn with your list, just because of its simplicity. I have the same problem - SO’s last name is very Italian so I think [name]Gia[/name] would sound ‘too much’.
The name [name]Gia[/name] reminds me of [name]Gia[/name] Carangi who was a top US model in the 1970s. She became addicted to heroin and contracted HIV dying of AIDS at the age of 26. A movie was made about her called “[name]Gia[/name]” starting [name]Angelia[/name] [name]Jolie[/name] in 1998. [name]Gia[/name] Carangi was considered to be one of the first supermodels and one of the first famous women to die of AIDS related complications.
I like it as a nn but as a given name I wouldn’t be able to get over the [name]Gia[/name] Carangi connection.
I like [name]Gia[/name] as a nickname for the name [name]Gianna[/name] (I pronounce it [name]Gee[/name]-ana, but I know others pronounce it differently). I’m not crazy about it on its own though.
I do like [name]Georgiana[/name], but I feel that it’s too much with his surname. I think I prefer [name]Gianna[/name] over [name]Georgiana[/name] anyways, but it’s a nice idea!
I’ll brainstorm combo ideas for the both of them and see who comes out on top!
I like the name [name]Gia[/name], reminds me of one of my former college classmates [since that was the name she went by, her full name was [name]Georgia[/name].]
Ha. I wish! It’s very Polish/[name]German[/name], I suspect it’s more Polish than [name]German[/name], but I know he’s got strong [name]German[/name] ancestry, as well as Austrian. Not a drop of Italian anything in the man.
I love this name. [name]One[/name] of the mom’s in our adoptive parent group named her little, Korean cutie [name]Gia[/name]; and she is possibly the prettiest toddler I’ve ever clapped eyes on. It sounds exotic yet spunky; it’s a really superb name [name]IMO[/name].
