Next generation of nature names

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all,
What are your predictions of the next generation of quirky nature names?

[name_u]River[/name_u], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] are now well established and up there in the charts.

Then we had the fast rise of [name_f]Clover[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_u]Forest[/name_u], and the like.

So what’s next? What is the next generation of currently obscure and quirky nature names that will become mainstream?

Ooh interesting question!! I think we’re likely to see a lot more interesting water related names arise, such as…

[name_u]Delta[/name_u]
Lake(n)
[name_u]Minnow[/name_u]
[name_m]Meander[/name_m] (Little bit of a stretch, but if [name_u]Leander[/name_u] and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] can be big, why not the nature-y Meander?)
[name_u]Fjord[/name_u]
[name_f]Pacifica[/name_f]
[name_u]Neptune[/name_u]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_u]Bay[/name_u]
[name_u]Cove[/name_u]
[name_f]Breezy[/name_f]
[name_f]Windy[/name_f]

[name_u]Love[/name_u] these! [name_u]Minnow[/name_u] has been on my mind a lot these last few days — how cute is she?

I like [name_m]Pike[/name_m], [name_m]Moss[/name_m] and [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m]. Was thinking about [name_u]Hickory[/name_u] then realized people don’t want Hick in their name.

They’re already reasonably well used in the uk but I think [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] and primrose are both in for huge popularity spikes, well into the top 100

current natural names on the rise include . .

female
violet
hazel
luna
isla
aurora
ivy
autumn
savannah

male
ash
hunter
caspian
acacius
cosmo
brooks
orion

based on these, its clear that boys names and girls names are currently going through similar yet distinct trends. girls names are going through an old-meets-new style of name, with themes of seasons, places, celestial bodies, florals, with herbal accents. boys names are going through a similar old-meets-new with kingly marine names, celestial names, tree names, and some animal names.

my predictions . .
female
nova
meadow
juniper
winter
poppy
azalea
sahara
holly
lila / lilac
tansy
tundra
selene

male
fox
timber
nimbus
cedar
hawthorne
everest
bear
florian
fjord
bay
peregrine
falcon

unisex
bayou
lake
