[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are loving the name [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], however, we aren’t super excited about the nickname [name_f]Addy[/name_f]/Addie- it’s just feels a little boring to me. Someone mentioned the name [name_f]Ada[/name_f] (Ay-duh) and I’m thinking this could be a nice alternative…
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer the nickname [name_f]Addy[/name_f]/Addie or [name_f]Ada[/name_f]?
Also, would you pronounce [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] as [name_f]Ada[/name_f]-line or [name_f]Ada[/name_f]-lyn?
Ada is so sweet as a nn for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]! The first syllable sounds different the way I say them (AY-duh vs. ADD-uh-line), but I still think it works. I prefer the “-line” ending, but I like both!
Ada is my DH’s name and we love it!! We get loads of compliments, and bonus is it’s super easy to say and spell. I definitely think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] could be a nn for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. We considered [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] as full names for our [name_f]Ada[/name_f] before deciding to just go with [name_f]Ada[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]! I say her like “add a line”. And personally, I’m not a huge [name_f]Ada[/name_f] fan, so I would prefer [name_f]Addy[/name_f] myself. But if I were to use a nn for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], it would be [name_f]Della[/name_f]! I think she’s so sweet and utterly perfect with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. [name_f]Lina[/name_f] could be sweet, too!
