ok ill tell you my opinion hope you are not offended,
if it was my daughter i’d call her RiRi! personally i prefer affectionate NN from parents to children rather than choosing for the child what everyone will call them other than the name you named them. speaking from experience! (i have a classic, heavyish name and my mom chose a tackily spelled nn for me that i still hate the spelling of and dont use anymore with that spelling-not to be dramatic but it really bothers me) thats why i named my kids names which are self-sufficient but not too heavy. but i would totally nn my kids cute things like RiRi [name]Mimi[/name] [name]Kiki[/name], [name]Sasa[/name] etc if applicable, BUT NOT use those nn when introducing them.
honestly though [name]Arianna[/name] is a name which i like; if i chose it, other than RiRi i might shorten it to [name]Ari[/name] because its like saying half the name and making half the effort. ( i do that with my daughter naturally-chlo for chloe) I love [name]Aria[/name] (more than arianna actually) but i would choose that as its own name not as a nn as it doesnt really sound like a shortenned version of arianna, and its only one fewer syllable, plus its very elegant, not cutesy. that would remind me of my friend who named her son jeremiah and plans the nn to be jeremy-i think that is ridiculous for a few reasons (basically what i just said about aria). … anyways this kind of naming and nicknaming just feels too contrived~to me~
