First, thoughts on the name [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]?
I’m a huge [name_f]Ayn[/name_f] [name_m]Rand[/name_m] fan, and my husband loved the Bioshock games. It’s not the only [name_f]Ayn[/name_f] [name_m]Rand[/name_m]/[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] Shrugged name on my list for our new baby, but the past couple days it’s been sticking more.
Any nicknames for [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]?
I really like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], but I don’t think it needs a nickname.
[name_f]Atty[/name_f]. Which is kinda cute.
I like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] a lot. It is a big name to live up to, though. If your child is likely to be of short stature and/or slight build
you might want to reconsider. It’s cute when someone names their Chihuahua [name_m]Thor[/name_m] but it could be detrimental to have a similar situation for a human.
That being said, I think the average man can pull off [name_f]Atty[/name_f] or [name_f]Attie[/name_f], if not [name_m]Atlas[/name_m].
This is a really good point that I hadn’t considered. My husband and I are both short for our families but still taller than most. 
Atli is a relatively common name where I grew up, so that’s the first thing I think of (not a related name though).
But I think [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] worst just fine, it doesn’t need a nickname.
