Nickname for baby Katherine

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I need some assistance.

I’m due in [name_f]October[/name_f] with a baby girl!

We’re about 95% sure her name is going to be [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Nora[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband is big on nicknames, so we’ve been talking about potential nicknames for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] beyond the usual [name_f]Kate[/name_f] or [name_f]Katie[/name_f].

We’ve been talking about [name_u]Ren[/name_u]/Wren/Renny… but we’re not sure if that would be useable and, if so, what’s the best way to spell it?

Thoughts are appreciated!

I would use [name_u]Kit[/name_u]!

We have [name_f]Kat[/name_f] and [name_f]Rin[/name_f] on our [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] nickname list. I’ve also heard [name_u]Kick[/name_u] and [name_u]Kay[/name_u] used as nicknames.

Katherine [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is beautiful! I like [name_u]Ren[/name_u]/Wren/Renny, [name_u]Kit[/name_u] and [name_f]Kat[/name_f]. I really really like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Renny[/name_u]!

I know a [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] who goes by [name_u]Wren[/name_u], which seems perfectly wearable to me! I also love [name_u]Kit[/name_u]!

I love the idea of [name_u]Ren[/name_u]/Wren/Renny as a nickname for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]! I think any of the variations you suggested would work well; ultimately, I think I’d go with [name_u]Wren[/name_u] if you mostly wanted to call her just [name_u]Ren[/name_u]/Wren, and [name_u]Ren[/name_u] if you wanted [name_u]Renny[/name_u] as an option (just because Wrenny seems a little less natural to me, although it could totally work!).

I adore the nickname [name_u]Kit[/name_u] for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]!

So my favorite nn for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is “[name_u]Kit[/name_u]”! There’s also [name_f]Kitty[/name_f], [name_f]Kat[/name_f], [name_f]Katya[/name_f], [name_u]Kay[/name_u], and [name_f]Kathy[/name_f]. I would go with Rinnie but I think you could use [name_u]Ren[/name_u] or [name_u]Rennie[/name_u]

I know a [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Kat[/name_f] or KitKat.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I guess you could spell it [name_f]Rin[/name_f]? That would make the most sense. But I personally think that [name_u]Kit[/name_u] or [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] are way way cute!

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Great choice (from a fellow [name_f]Catherine[/name_f])!

[name_f]Kat[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Katy[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Erin[/name_f]
[name_f]Katy[/name_f]
[name_u]Kay[/name_u]
[name_f]Eri[/name_f]
[name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_f]Rina[/name_f]
[name_f]Kathy[/name_f]

I’ve had people call me variations of most of the above in my life time

What about [name_f]Erin[/name_f]?

I agree with those suggesting [name_f]Rin[/name_f]. So cute and spunky and completely intuitive.

If you’re flexible about the spelling of your first name, I really like Ryn for [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]. I have a classmate named [name_f]Maryn[/name_f] and she goes by Ryn

I LOVE [name_u]Renny[/name_u] as a nn for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]!

some other ideas:
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_m]Kip[/name_m]
[name_m]Kea[/name_m]
[name_u]Kay[/name_u]

Ren/Wren and [name_u]Renny[/name_u] are both nicknames I haven’t thought of before. They sound really nice, actually.

Other suggestions: [name_f]Kat[/name_f], [name_f]Rina[/name_f], [name_f]Kat[/name_f], [name_u]Terry[/name_u], [name_f]Nina[/name_f], Kath, [name_f]Kathy[/name_f], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_f]Katya[/name_f], [name_f]Erin[/name_f], [name_u]Kaye[/name_u]

I love [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] as an unusual option. [name_f]My[/name_f] best friend goes by [name_f]Kat[/name_f], but I also love the idea of [name_u]Ren[/name_u], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], or [name_u]Kay[/name_u]. Or you could just use her middle as a nickname. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is lovely.

Sweet, sharp, and straightforward would be “[name_u]Kaye[/name_u].” That’s what I’d choose!

Kit is my favorite nickname for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]

I love [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a nn for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]! I think the [name_u]Wren[/name_u] spelling works the best, especially for a girl, if she’s going to use the nickname when introducing herself.

I also like [name_u]Kit[/name_u] for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
