Nickname for Brett?

I’m currently expecting baby two, gender unknown (we wait until birth to find out!)

I’d love to name [name_u]Baby[/name_u] after my dad if we end up having a boy — [name_u]Brett[/name_u].

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter has recently taken to calling her Grandad “[name_f]Bett[/name_f]” (much to my dad’s delight I might add), so to avoid confusion I’d love a decent nickname that we can call [name_u]Baby[/name_u].

I know [name_u]Brett[/name_u] isn’t a name with nicknames, so any ideas would be much appreciated!

P.S. Using [name_u]Brett[/name_u] as a middle is definitely a possibility, I just like the idea of using it as a first name just a bit more!

You could call him B/[name_f]Bee[/name_f], Bretty/Brettie or his initials
For example, if his name was [name_u]Brett[/name_u] [name_m]Vaughan[/name_m] he could be BV (beevee), BJ (beejay, though this one would be problematic when he grew up) etc
Would you consider using [name_m]Breton[/name_m]/[name_m]Bretton[/name_m] with the nickname [name_u]Tony[/name_u]?

I love [name_u]Brett[/name_u]. I don’t really have any suggestions for nicknames, but I just wanted to say I also love [name_u]Brett[/name_u] for a girl.

[name_f]Bee[/name_f] or [name_f]Bree[/name_f]? Maybe [name_f]Bri[/name_f] (brEYE)? Hopefully your daughter will come up with a cuter nickname for her brother than you could ever plan!

If the lack of nicknames is still a concern, you might consider [name_m]Truett[/name_m] as an alternative? [name_u]True[/name_u] would be such a charming nn!

[name_u]Brett[/name_u] is so underused, and the sentiment would make this a great choice. Of the [name_u]Brett[/name_u]'s I’ve known (3) all have gone by [name_u]Brett[/name_u].

[name_m]Just[/name_m] take the B off and you get Rett.

My first thought was [name_u]Bo[/name_u].
It just sounds so cute/cool/classy, all in one. It also has that affectionate feel, like [name_u]Beau[/name_u].
