Nickname for Charlize

My husband and I love the name [name_f]Charlize[/name_f]. Now, I’m normally against people asking for nicknames and think, why don’t they call her the name she is given and not the nickname. I’ve reaslised, this isn’t always possible and eventually, it gets shortened, whether by you or other people.

My problem is, I don’t like the nickname [name_f]Charli[/name_f] for [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] so if people start calling her that, I’d like to come back with something I prefer.

All I can think of is [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]… do you consider that to be short for [name_f]Charlize[/name_f]? Or just [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] or something.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated

[name_u]Izzy[/name_u] totally works as a nn for [name_f]Charlize[/name_f].

You may also like: [name_u]Chase[/name_u], [name_m]Chaz[/name_m], [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f] (lee-za)

I like izzy! or lizzy could work too. I actually like the idea of lise (leeze). like charlize it has a french-ish unique but not unheard of vibe. and it is very pretty

You could do [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]. I don’t think [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] works. Another idea is [name_f]Char[/name_f]? I’ve heard that before

[name_f]Char[/name_f]? [name_f]Liza[/name_f]? [name_f]Liz[/name_f]?

[name_f]Carli[/name_f]? [name_u]Cali[/name_u]?

I think you could totally use [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] as the nickname for [name_f]Charlize[/name_f].

Maybe [name_f]Sharli[/name_f], [name_f]Arli[/name_f], [name_f]Char[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f] (lee-zuh), [name_u]Isa[/name_u]/[name_f]Iza[/name_f] or [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. I like [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] and I think it works fine.

I think [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] would work fine.

I can’t really think of any others that haven’t been mentioned here, so good luck!

If your name gets shortened against your will, the response should me ‘no, my name is [name_f]Charlize[/name_f], please call me [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] (and not whatever nickname you choose to give me)’ instead of '…just call me by my nickname [name_u]Izzy[/name_u], it is a nickname I use when people insist on calling me by a nickname although I want to be called by my name. If people start calling [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Charli[/name_f]’, come back with ‘no, my name is [name_f]Charlize[/name_f], please call be [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] (and not [name_f]Charli[/name_f]).’
