Nickname for Cosette and other girl name suggestions.

My husband and I are expecting our first child in [name]May[/name] and we have already began our name list. I don’t believe we will be finding out the sex. We have some boy options that we both like, but can not seem to come to an aggreance with girls names.

We both like the name [name]Cosette[/name] but [name]CoCo[/name] is out as a nickname, though we find it very cute. Any other ideas? We also welcome other suggestions. We tend to like more vintage/classic names that aren’t in the top 50 (preferably the top 100) but are not unheard of. It can not end in a long e and PLEASE no unisex or surnames. Names that we’ve already knocked off for one reason or another are: [name]Audrey[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Jane[/name]. Names that we still like are: [name]Eden[/name], [name]Yvette[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name]. However [name]Eden[/name] and [name]Yvette[/name] are proving difficult for nicknames as well.

Thank you.

I love the name [name]Cosette[/name] (and [name]Colette[/name], too)!

Possible nicknames: Cosy (not sure about that one, though), [name]Etta[/name], Zette, [name]Zetta[/name]…

[name]Eden[/name]: [name]Edie[/name]

[name]Yvette[/name]: [name]Evie[/name] or [name]Eve[/name]/Yve

Some more you may like:

[name]Genevieve[/name] (nn [name]Evie[/name])

Good luck!

Instead of [name]Cosette[/name], [name]Colette[/name] would be cute. I’ve always loved the nickname [name]Colie[/name] for [name]Colette[/name].

[name]Eden[/name] is beautiful, and [name]Edie[/name] would be a cute nickname.
I love [name]Elizabeth[/name], but like you, have a problem with the popularity. Luckily, it has endless nickname possibilities. If you’d like to go with something less popular, [name]Eliza[/name] is always an option.

I’ll come back later if I can think of anything else.

For me, the great thing about [name]Cosette[/name] and [name]Colette[/name] is [name]Coco[/name].

[name]Cosette[/name] is a pretty name! I like Cosi as a nn!!!

There are [name]Casey[/name]'s in the world, why not Cosi?

I like Cosy spelled with a ‘y’ – just seems so snuggly.
Another nn suggesion is Socy/Saucy.

Since [name]Cosette[/name] is a female form of [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Nikki[/name] could be a nn too.
