Nickname for double troubles!

So as you may know I’m pregnant with twin boys, [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] & [name_m]Leandro[/name_m].

We thought we were having one baby up until the past few weeks, and we were havint [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] nn [name_m]Iago[/name_m]/[name_m]Yago[/name_m]/[name_m]Jago[/name_m].

Now with two babies I’d love to have some kind of ‘matching’ nicknames while they’re just babies. I thought about [name_m]Leo[/name_m] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u]/[name_m]Teo[/name_m] (in spanish they’re pronounces Leh-oh & Teh-oh).

In Spain we don’t usually use nicknames outside the close family circle. My daughter [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is called by her full name most of the time, the close family and friends call her [name_f]Nina[/name_f] sometimes.

So they’re be no confusions as to ‘matchy’ nicknames because a)they’d only be called that as babies and b)they’d only be nicknamed sometimes at home

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Leo[/name_m] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is too much? Should I go for [name_m]Leo[/name_m] & [name_m]Iago[/name_m]?

I much prefer the sound of [name_m]Leo[/name_m] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u], but my brain is such a mess right now!

Congratulations and those are beautiful names. Personally, I think [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] are a bit matchy. I say go for [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Iago[/name_m]!

I think it’s super cute! Because they are nicknames it’s not a problem that they’re so closely matched, I’d definitely use them

I’m a twin and my advice is to avoid anything matchy. I would hate it if my sister’s nickname/name rhymed with mine. Their names will be mixed up often (even if they are fraternal), and using super matchy names will make it even worse. To sum up, I vote for [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Iago[/name_m].

Congratulations, first of all! [name_m]How[/name_m] exciting! I agree with handsallover, though, better to go with [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Iago[/name_m], since it’s likely that [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] will get mixed up.
