I love the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f] but I’m struggling with a nickname. Some options I’ve thought of are:

[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Essie[/name_f]

Which do you like best and why? Can you think of any others?

I love [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] out of those you’ve listed, as it sounds so vintage, and fits in with current trends.

Estey/[name_f]Estie[/name_f]/[name_f]Estee[/name_f] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] were my ideas! If I had an [name_f]Esther[/name_f], I would totally use either one of those. I love them. From your ideas, I like [name_f]Etta[/name_f] best, but I prefer Estey and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] in general.

I have a cousin with the nickname [name_f]Essie[/name_f] so i think its a wonderful choice!

I absolutely, absolutely love [name_f]Essie[/name_f], it’s adorable. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a great choice.

I think they’re all great! I’d probably end up calling her each of those names at some point- meet her and see what happens instead of planning it in advance.

They’re all lovely, but I’m planning on using [name_f]Etta[/name_f] so I would go with that one!

I think [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] are cute, and my father’s called [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] sometimes, I would choose that or [name_f]Teri[/name_f].

I adore [name_f]Etta[/name_f], but I don’t see it as a nickname for [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. [name_f]Essie[/name_f] is perfect. I also like [name_f]Este[/name_f].

The only little [name_f]Esther[/name_f] I know goes by [name_f]Essie[/name_f] and I think it’s adorable.

I like most of the nicknames for [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. [name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Esti[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Star[/name_f] (meaning of [name_f]Esther[/name_f]). I cannot really choose between them. I would just see what she suits and what rolls off the tongue naturally to you.

Finally, someone has said [name_f]Star[/name_f]! That’s the only nn for [name_f]Esther[/name_f] that I would use!
