My friends recently had their second daughter, who they’ve named [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] 
Their eldest daughter is named [name_f]Astrid[/name_f].
They struggled in the past to come up with an intuitive nickname for [name_f]Astrid[/name_f]. She’s since acquired a few nicknames, but none related to her given name…
Does anyone know of any nicknames for [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]?

My first thought was [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] nn [name_f]Indy[/name_f] :). Couldn’t really think of much else!

[name_m]Iggy[/name_m] is the only other i can add
[name_f]Inga[/name_f]/[name_u]Inge[/name_u] or [name_f]Indie[/name_f].
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] are great for sisters. Could they do Idgie as a nn for [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]?

[name_f]Inga[/name_f] is my preferred nn. I knew an [name_f]Ignacia[/name_f] ‘[name_m]Iggy[/name_m]’ who pulled it off really well! She was a delightful, spunky, clever kid.
