Nickname for Ireland

I am looking for a cute nickname for the name [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]. Full name is [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. So maybe a NN that comes from the MN. However, not [name_f]Liz[/name_f] or [name_f]Liza[/name_f] or [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f]. Please help.

For [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] may [name_u]Ira[/name_u] or Landy. Or even [name_u]Andy[/name_u].

I know someone with this name and they call her Iry pronounced eye-ree.

I would personally use either [name_f]Irie[/name_f], [name_f]Lindy[/name_f], or [name_f]Indie[/name_f]. In fact, I never thought of [name_f]Indie[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] before! [name_m]How[/name_m] cool. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the full name, by the way.

I would definitely go with [name_f]Indie[/name_f].

[name_f]Irie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ila[/name_f] come to mind.

Nn from the mn…

[name_f]Maddie[/name_f]
[name_u]Dell[/name_u]
[name_u]Lynn[/name_u] ( if pronouncing [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] with the lynn sounds at the end).

[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Beth[/name_f]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]

Also this may be a bit of a stretch, but for short you could call her [name_f]Erin[/name_f]. [name_f]Erin[/name_f] means [name_f]Ireland[/name_f], and all the letters are already there…

I’ve heard of an [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] being called [name_f]Eire[/name_f] ([name_f]Air[/name_f] ih), the Irish word for [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]. I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Indie[/name_f].
