I’ve been thinking of what nickname I want to give J.uliette P.enelope. I’ve had a few people ask if we will call her Julie but I’ve never liked the name plus I have a family member named Julie so that feels taken. I want to have a nickname ready when she’s born so that people don’t start calling her Julie because I really don’t want that to stick. Big sister’s nn is Lettie. My husband likes Jules which is adorable but I’ve had the nickname Etta in my head since we brought our first home from the hospital. I’ve also considered playing off of her middle name and calling her Poppy
So, which nickname for Juliette Penelope that goes best with Lettie?

[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorite is [name_u]Jules[/name_u]. [name_u]Jules[/name_u] and [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] are super sweet together. I like that they have different sounds but work well together stylistically.

I like all of your nicknames actually! They’re all so adorable. To pair with [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] though I would choose [name_u]Jules[/name_u].
[name_f]Lettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] are a bit too close for my liking and [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] rhymes which I’m not a fan of. [name_u]Jules[/name_u] and [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] seems like the best pairing and I’m also a big fan of [name_u]Jules[/name_u] as a nn
As soon as I saw the name for this thread I was going to suggest both [name_u]Jules[/name_u] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f]! Knowing that big sister’s nickname is [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] makes me question if having an [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and a [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] would get a little confusing, but I think it’d be cute either way! Derived from [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] I’d also suggest [name_f]Junie[/name_f]!
As for nicknames derived more from [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], in addition to [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], I’d suggest Nell/Nellie, [name_u]Penny[/name_u], and [name_f]Polly[/name_f].
i like [name_u]Jules[/name_u] a lot!! this is sort of a stretch but i also like [name_f]Jette[/name_f]!

[name_f]Etta[/name_f] feels too like [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] to me. and I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Jules[/name_u], so I’d choose the lovely [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]!

I think [name_u]Jules[/name_u] goes really well with [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]! So does [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]. [name_f]Etta[/name_f] is nice, but it shares some similar sounds with [name_f]Lettie[/name_f].
