Nickname for Roberto?

Hey all!

I want to name my baby after my Dad if it’s a boy. We aren’t finding out the gender, and we have our girls’ name already.

My father’s name is [name_m]Robert[/name_m], but me and my partner are both of Italian decent so were thinking of [name_m]Roberto[/name_m], however I don’t want there to be a [name_m]Robert[/name_m] / [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] confusion!

Any ideas of nicknames? I’ve heard of [name_m]Berto[/name_m] and [name_m]Beto[/name_m], which I love, but I’m a little hesitant to call him [name_m]Beto[/name_m] because people are crazy political!

I love [name_f]Ro[/name_f], [name_u]Rory[/name_u] and [name_u]Bo[/name_u] (although I prefer it spelled [name_u]Beau[/name_u])! [name_m]Beto[/name_m] sounds fun too, but that may be because I’m not aware of the political connection.
