Nickname for Ruby Elizabeth

It was quite a process to land at the name [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but I would love to also find a nickname. I know that [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is fairly nickname-proof name. What about the combo or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?

Nickname? [name_f]Pet[/name_f] name? Right now my pet name for her is “Monkey” … I think I should find something new.

You can make up any kind of nickname … I know … But anything seem like a particularly good match that is also a nice pet name to call a little girl?

Thanks!

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]'s I know go by [name_u]Rue[/name_u] or Rubes for nn’s.

Cute name.
[name_u]Rue[/name_u], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Lou[/name_u], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]?
Good luck

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Gem[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Jewel[/name_f]? Since [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is a gem. I also like Roo/[name_u]Rue[/name_u]/Ru. If you want to go the “smoosh” nickname route, I think these could work: Rizzy, Rellie. Or you could just use your favorite nickname derived from her middle name. We all know there’s plenty of nice nn options for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!

Please don’t! [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is gorgeous and doesn’t need a nickname. You should use that beautiful name.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] nn Ideas: =my favorites
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]-[name_u]Lou[/name_u]

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]-[name_f]Liz[/name_f]

[name_u]Rue[/name_u]-[name_m]Bear[/name_m]*

Ruthy-[name_m]Bear[/name_m]

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]-[name_u]Lee[/name_u]

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]-beth*

Rabbit

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]-Rabbit -Ok, I realize this is long but I think it is cute, hopefully one of these nn’s will fit or you may get an idea for one that does.

First thing that came to my mind was [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] (Ru + Th from [name_f]Beth[/name_f]). But I think it would be strange since it’s another completely different name.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] is really cute, and so is [name_u]Rue[/name_u].
[name_f]Maye[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] if you don’t see it as a stretch.

Loved the PP’s suggestion of [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] Rabbit! Too cute for words!

However, I do think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is one of those rare names that is actually cooler and fresher than the nicknames that come from it. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is gorgeous, Rubes - not so much. Maybe you could call her one of those silly family nicknames at home only, and let her grow into her own nickname as time passes.

Oh, Rabbit is so cute!! I also like [name_u]Rue[/name_u]-beth. You could try inverting them too, which would result in Lissy-bee. (I admit these all feel like baby nn’s to me, but I think that’s all you really need with a cute, short name like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].)

I’m with boyandgirl! [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is short and so gorgeous. It doesn’t need a nickname! The only nicknames I had growing up were pet names (princess, sweetie, baby, sissy) because my name didn’t need to be shortened.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is definitely one of those “nickname proof” names, but my first thought was [name_u]Rue[/name_u]. I don’t like [name_m]Rube[/name_m] at all.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] is cute too!

I think [name_f]Bebe[/name_f] would be doable
