Voted for [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. Ted/[name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is a bit meh.
I like Ted. It was an old person name when I was a kid, but now it feels ripe for the picking. I’ve never liked the name [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. it doesn’t sound like a read name to me. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] nn Ted is on my name list
I feel like I’d probably call them [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] as a child and then [name_u]Theo[/name_u] (if they want) as they grew older…
I love the nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] for an adult or child (think [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] [name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m]).
Ted works for me too…
I’m not partial to [name_u]Theo[/name_u].
I love [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. I am not a big fan of Ted.
My husband is a Ted (formal name is [name_m]Edward[/name_m]) so I’m partial to that. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is nice too, but I much prefer Ted.
I didn’t used to be a [name_u]Theo[/name_u] fan at all (like @meganjoy, it didn’t really feel like a name to me, probably because I was a theology major for a while, and we were called the “theos”), but after meeting a couple really cute Theos, it’s grown on me! I like it definitely more than just Ted, and slightly more than the adorable [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]! I love both [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], though. I think they’re both brilliant!
Good luck!
I think [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is cute for a little kid and then [name_u]Theo[/name_u] as they get older. I don’t like Ted it feels very dated to me.
I love the name [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. But, my husband hates it!
I tend to think of [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] for the younger years, [name_u]Theo[/name_u] the middle years, and Ted for the senior years, lol!
I only like [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. Ted and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] just seem too teddy bear and old sounding to me.
We named our son [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and we used [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and sometimes The (pronounced Thee.) I personally loved the name [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but was not a fan of the nicknames Ted and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u].
I voted for [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. It’s handsome, masculine and will age well. While I think [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is cute for a kid, I can’t stand Ted. I feel it’s a bit dopey.
