Knew a [name_u]Shaye[/name_u] growing up, I always thought the e rounded out the spelling and made it feel like a fuller name.
Also knew a [name_f]Shaylynn[/name_f], and a [name_f]Shaylee[/name_f]. But something about these reads badly to me.

Shailene is the first thing to come to mind. I also know a Shaytell
I know three people named [name_u]Shae[/name_u] (that spelling) that have that as a full name. I also know one [name_f]Shaylee[/name_f] (not too sure on spelling) but I totally think [name_u]Shae[/name_u] can work as a standalone name.
I completely understand if you still want a longer name though, just adding my insight.
